This Dumangin Fils Champagne (2000 Brut Millesime) won the Gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2008, and heralds from a fantastic millenium vintage. The champagne displays a vibrant gold colour, with aromas of red berries leading to toasty undertones with a balanced, full-bodied palate, it displays a long, dry finish. Matthew Jukes writing Moneyweek (April 2010)described the Dumangin Fils champagne as 'a stormer - with broad brushstrokes of lusty, ripe, succulent fruit. It is half the price of a similarly built wine from one of the more famous, household names.' Wine merchants Yapp Brothers have a limited supply of this wine - well worth tracking down now in time for the summer season.
