“yesterday i went to see wwry for the 2nd time, and...”

written by killerqueenchaz on 17/04/2010

yesterday i went to see wwry for the 2nd time, and took my sister with me for the 1st time, and she LOVED it! the band were absolutely amazing, there were 3 understudies on and i really like the way they did the role. The people playing the roles were:

Galileo - Richard Woodford, understudy

Scaramouche - Sabrina Aloueche

Killer Queen - Mazz Murray

Khashoggi - Ryan Dawson, understudy

Meat - Amanda Coutts, understudy

Brit - Ian Carlyle

Pop - Garry Lake

Teacher - Hannah Levane

At first I was a little unsure of Richard Woodford, but as soon as I Want To Break Free was finished I was hooked, he was brilliant as Galileo. During Who Wants to live forever I thought the part where him and Sabrina start singing "and we can have forever..." was just one of the moments that got me, i was just thinking wow.

Sabrina was absolutely fantastic, I love the way she does "well you sure are right about that....b*tch" My sister loved her singing sombody to love. She was all over fantastic, there's not more I can say really.

Mazz was AMAZING as always, but I managed to miss her at stage door as I was taking a picture with Richard, that upset me - but oh well, there's another excuse to go again! I love her singing Another One Bites the Dust! I love mazz, she justs amazing. nothing else I can say.

Ryan Dawson was really good at Khashoggi, I didn't know what to expect from him, because I've never really heard any reviews about him, but him and Mazz made a great pair, and Seven Sea's Of Rhye was brilliant.

Amanda surprised me, I'd heard some people saying she wasn't that great at Meat, but I thought she was really good, even if she didn't have the Scottish accent, it didn't matter because she was just brilliant. NOBY made me have tears in my eyes she was so good! She took a picture of me and Sabrina at stage door but went off before I had a chance to have a picture with her herself!

Ian is just brilliant at Brit, the parts made for him! He was so nice at stage door as well. my sister had a sad face on at the end of act 1 because Brit was dead! He's just simply brilliant!

Garry. Well Garry was just hilarious, he starts off the show so well, and although you don't see him again until the second act, he's got such a lasting impression, he's just so good at the role of Pop, I was laughing so much when he was onstage!

Hannah as the teacher was brilliant! I liked the way she portrayed the teacher, it was different to the way I saw the other girl do it in August ( I can't remember her name). We had a chat at stage door about the Brit school, and we both agreed how great it is there! She was just brilliant the way she did the teacher.

Overall, the audience were actually quite inactive for a Friday night, The only time they were really cheered and whooped was during the bows, even during Bohemian Rhapsody everyone was in their seats. But Sabrina said at stagedoor "There was a lot of laughing and cheering from the right" I was sitting on the right

I really want to go and see it again, I might go for my birthday in July, so I have the time to get my money together again, because my mum doesn't see the point in me going again, so I'm on my own this time!
