I as for a sales consultant to call and quote for 2 external doors one front one back.
back door was just a simple upvc door one pane of glass standard size.
front door was door with side panel with glass in.
consultant was pleasant polite the quote started out at over £10000 for two doors!!!which was reduced down by over 45% within minutes of quote.
but Everest are not alone in this practice all the double glazing company work the same big price to start with then hit you with a big discount,
why can they not just give the price to start with or at least have prices on website I tell you why the might just get one or two suckers to pay the full price.
the consultant the tried to compare my profession with his but unlike his we have to have prices on all our item other wise we get not only the manufacture on our case but the office of fair trading.
maybe the office of fair trading should monitor the double glazing companies to give future customer's some idea of what they could expect to pay.
needless to say I will not be using Everest to replace my doors as they think they are the best but they fall way short of the mark.
