“The Panasonic PTAE300E is a superb piece of kit...”

written by getjiggywithit on 27/10/2003

Good Points
Versatility - Superb Horizontal and Vertical Keystone range allows placement at the side of a room without coffee table or ceiling mount.
Connectability - Component (Progressive Scan), Composite, SVHS, RGB Scart, and DVi all on one projector!!.
Easy set up.
Quite fan, particularly on low lamp setting which only marginally less bright than full lamp setting.
Price - Formerly retailing at £2500, now available from a couple of websites at under £1300 (Try PRC Direct). A good highly rated projector which won all the awards 6-12 months ago at £2000. An irresistable bargain at £1279.

Bad Points
Not the brightest and use of the Keystone correction does slightly detract from the quality of the picture.
No other bad points.

General Comments
The Panasonic PTAE300E is a superb piece of kit particularly with Progressive Scan hook up to a suitable DVD player (Composite PS output).

Tidy looking projector, not massively stylish but not ugly.
