“Door and Windows but not Roof”

In relation to the roof, the member of the sales staff put forward suggestions of which, I admit I
was sceptical but nevertheless I allowed myself to be persuaded and paid a deposit on the spot.
The surveyor who visited subsequently decided that the proposals were not technically feasible
and this project was abandoned. Disappointing.
As to the separate project involving "door and windows", after removal of the existing structure
by the fitters, the installation of the new items went well. The fitters worked well, were helpful and
exhibited a professional approach. That said, sweeping up obviously wasn't their forte and the brickwork
which supports in part the new installation sustained minor damage.
What I did find disappointing is that neither sales nor survey staff were very helpful in relation to giving
advice as to how to remedy a problem I have with the handle of a door installed for me by "Anglian"
- admittedly over 25 years ago. When locked the handle looks as normal but when unlocked the handle
hangs (please pardon the expression) "limp". I formed the impression from conversations with staff
that I'd just have to live with it. Hopefully I'll be able to find an alternative source to Anglian and one who
can help me with this problem.
