“Do NOT trust your car with Meet and Greet ”

We left our car with Meet and Greet at East Midlands airport on 6th of June 2018 and, before going to the airport my husband had the car washed as he always likes it to look nice being as it is the first new car he has had and was brand new in October 2016.
Upon out return in the early hours of the 21st June 2018 he was handed a piece of paper saying that he would need to take the car to a car wash because it was absolutely filthy as they are having construction work done and there was a large amount of dust because of it and they had been unable to get it cleaned prior to our arrival and to send in the bill and we would be reimbursed for the cost.

When the car was washed my husband saw scratches and a small dent in the rear passenger door which were not there before ( he always wipes the car down after it has been washed so knows every inch of the car ). He contacted the airport who asked him to provide pictures of the " alleged" damage which he did. They then sent back a picture which they say is off their high resolution camera showing the damage already there yet, despite putting it on full magnification, we cannot see any marks on their picture at all. We were also told that their terms and conditions state that any damage must be reported to them prior to leaving the airport. HOW? It was approximately 01:00 hrs when we went to collect the car so it was dark. The car had a thick layer of dust on it so how were we supposed to see the damage? My husband put it to them that he believes they KNEW the car had been damaged in their car and was deliberately left in an area where the dust would cover it up and then the car was delivered to us so we could not see the damage and they could try to wriggle out of their responsibility by using the terms and conditions card.My husband has asked them THREE times for the name of their Public Liability insurer and has been ignored every time nor have we got the £12 car washing fee back yet.


This is a truthful account of how Meet and Greet parking at East Midlands airport have treated us I will leave it up to each of you to decide if you are going to use them but, if you take our advise, before leaving your vehicle TAKE PLENTY OF PICTURES OF IT and make them aware of you doing it and if they deliver your car to you in a filthy condition refuse to take it away until such time it has been cleaned there and you can examine it before leaving.


We have already persuaded some of our friends to get to this airport via other means and we won't be parking there again
