BEWARE OF BOOKING THE CHEAPEST ON LINE CAR HIRE - there are hidden extras!



Because Gold Car came out cheapest online, I booked a car for FIVE days at Almeria Airport, Spain on 30th October 2009.

If you do not have a credit card (I only had a debit card) you have to pay an extra THIRTY EUROS !!

You are also charged for a full tank of fuel which, in my case, amounted to SIXTY NINE EUROS. I had one of the smallest two door cars available.

The car was delivered back with 3/4 full tank but no refund is available if you hire for more three days. You are supposed to take the car back empty of fuel.

So the total amount payable to Gold Car for a small 2 door car for 5 days was a staggering 207 EUROS - could have saved pounds from another Almeria operator.
