Despite attending puppy training classes we found our very lively year old Springer Spaniel really testing at times. We decided he was too much of a handful for family members to take on whilst we went on holiday and started looking for alternatives. It's a huge step leaving your puppy with strangers but I was encouraged by the many videos online and the reviews I read. I contacted Adolescent Dogs by phone and email and was impressed by their caring attitude. We left Monty with the most amazing trainer for 3 weeks. She kept in touch, sending photos, video clips and email updates so we were reassured that Monty was thoroughly enjoying himself as well as receiving daily intensive training. On our return the trainer went through Monty's training programme with us, made sure we understood the signals she had used with him and in the follow up session went over a few concerns we had. It soon became apparent that Monty is now much calmer and his behaviour has improved immensely. Monty's not perfect, he's still a work in progress and we know we must work with him every day to build on the training he's received but we can email or text our trainer with any concerns we have during the next year, which is amazing aftercare. Yes, it was very expensive but taken over the life of our dog we feel it's money very well spent.
