General Comments
This Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone looks better than it performs. It ends up doing a reasonable job at most things but satisfaction will depend largely on what you use it for.

For me, I have found it to be an awkward phone to own. The screen gets easily scratched, requiring a case which bulks it out, negating its small size advantage. The most annoying feature is that the screen is nearly impossible to read in daylight and it has a tendancy to slow down when recieving SMS, occasionally locking up. I have not managed to get it working in the USA despite it being a triband phone although it worked well in the Middle East.

Battery life is moderate at 2-3 days (although I have v.poor reception which increases battery usage) and the ringers are usually loud enough. The camera is okay but there are better ones available now. As the advert claims, it is easy to transfer pictures if you want to. Software support has been severely lacking and games have been hard to come by as it is not a Java based phone. IR and bluetooth seem to work okay while the sound is reasonably clear. I have accidentally dialed 999 a couple of times while it has been in my pocket with the keys locked, which is annoying and embarrasing.

Overall, this phone will appeal to those that want a fashion statement rather than a practical phone. I think people will either love it or hate it - personally I will be glad to get rid of it when my contract expires.
