I inadvertently put in the wrong email address for a gift voucher for my brother, I put .com instead of .co.uk When my brother had not received his voucher when I called I feared that as this was my mistake I would loose the money. I contacted the help team and very quickly received a reply from the person I dealt with who had redirected the voucher to the correct recipient.
I was very impressed with not only the fact that they corrected my mistake but also the speed with which it happened.
In a world where you expect an honest mistake to provide an adverse learning experience this episode refreshed your faith somewhat.
A key learning point is of course to double check email addresses.
