“Steer clear ”

Rented a Corsa in Malaga Airport from Goldcar the last week of March 2018. Clocked up less than 200km over the week - no issues with car which was in good condition. Had it checked by employee on return who signed my sheet to say all was ok with the car. 6 days after coming home I checked my credit card to see if fuel charges had been reimbursed to find they have applied an additional charge of nearly €400! No correspondence or communication beforehand. Rang their number (international rates) to be told that the computer says there was 'damage to the bodywork' - explained I had the car checked on return to no avail. Logged a complaint on their website - over a week, 3 emails and 2 calls later there is still no refund, no explanation and no photos forthcoming. Their policy seems to be rip you off and then frustrate you into not pursuing them by not responding to you and relying on the fact that you are in another country. Well I am in this for the long haul as a matter of principle! DO NOT USE GOLDCAR. Now that I am googling them I cannot believe that I did.
