“Avoid, avoid, avoid! ”

Buyers beware this is one of the worst companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with! I ordered a dehumidifier with next day delivery, no issues there but as soon as we unboxed it we noticed a deep scratch on the front of the dehumidifier, no big deal as long as the product actually worked. I didn't want to try out the product as I'd paid the full amount for it so I just wanted a replacement, I contacted them straight away to say that I was disappointed and their returns policy states online that products can be returned in their original packaging. They were really apologetic and helpful at first and in the end they offered to give me a £40 refund and I could still keep the product. I received the £40 after a few days, no issues so far.

I agreed to this as I thought it was just a cosmetic issue and thought the product would still work fine, however after using it for one night we noticed that it actually made out damp situation worse, not better. I then promptly emailed them back again to say that after trying it out, we now just wanted a full refund as the product was obviously faulty or just not very good. I received no reply after a few days so I decided to try ringing them, I was left on hold and never actually got to speak to anyone. I then tried the online chat and the woman either totally got the wrong end of the stick or didn't even read my message as she was saying to send the product back for them to clean and service, at a £35 charge to me, when all I asked for was a refund!! Running out of options, £60 out of pocket and a useless dehumidifier standing at the top of my stairs, I then decided to email them again explaining everything, fast forward a few days and yep, you've guessed it, no reply!

I now think that I'm blatantly ignored as they can't be bothered to solve the issue or cough up my refund. I find this to be extremely frustrating as a customer, very unprofessional and very bad business acumen. I will never use this company again for anything and I definitely would not recommend them to anyone. I will now be escalating this further and taking it to trading standards as I will not be left out of pocket! Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!
