Bought a laptop, was congratulated on my choice and they took my money, returned to inform them the laptop was slower than a granny on valium, was told, well, oh, yes, this model is notorious for continuous updates which slows all processes down, almost all the time. Not a mention of this at the moment of purchase, and not a whiff of sympathy or empathy, it was quite clearly my fault. I work a zero-hour contract on minimum wage, for me that was a huge expense, Currys doesn't care at all, just as long as they get my money.
