“AVOID - very poor after care.”

Hired an 4WD SUV from Rentalcars.com to travel from Geneva airport to a ski resort. Turned up at Geneva airport and was told they didn't have any 4WD cars and that I could have a standard family car. Plus I'd have to pay extra for the snow chains. Tried to call rentalcars.com but got no answer after 15 mins on hold so had to take the car as all other rental agencies were very busy, it was Xmas. Needed the snow chains as it was snowing in the resort so my 71 year old dad and I had to faff around for an hour with those, and one of them was broken anyway. So had an awful experience getting up to the ski resort with one snow chain! Meant we couldn't drive the car when we were in the resort.

Complained to Rentalcars.com when I got back, but despite a promise to resolve things in 14 days, it took them 50 days! Every single time I had to chase them and cajole them to get any response and in the end all the did was pass my complaint through to Enterprise who offered a discount of 1 day of the 7 day rental and the cost of the snow chains. This is hardly reflective of the fact we couldn't use the car for 5 of the 7 days of rental.

Rentalcars.com were awful the whole way through. Non responsive, simply shrugged when I said the Enterprise discount wasn't good enough, basically didn't care about the customer at all. Their customer service rep even accused me of lying when I said that I had waited on the phone for 15 mins. A complete sham of a company AVOID.
