Good Points
It looks nice.
Front loading.

Bad Points
It breaks down regularly. The door control mechanism, and control panel failed.
Clothes take on a mildew odour sometimes.
I owned it for 1.5 years and have had problems with it.
It cost $1400 on sale and after 1.5 years required $500 in repairs. It is now sitting disconnected in my basement beside a simple basic new top load model that cost 1/3 the price but works.
There was a big law suit against Maytag over this model of washing machine.

General Comments
After being a die-hard Maytag buyer who believed in their products, I will not buy Maytag any more. I would have to see regular reports of their products lasting a long time with no repairs before I will buy Maytag again. I would not invest in Maytag either. I believe they are on the way out.
