“Stay away from RentalCars.com”

Booked a car through this company. Paid in full in advance. $ 348.00. At pick up at airport, they did not want to give me the car unless I paid an additional $ 1000 'rental fee'. I declined and tried to call the main office. No answer. Tried several times without anybody bothering to answer my call.
Disputed the charges with the CC company. No resolution yet.
Bottom line: This company is totally unethical, tries to deceive customers. My advice is to stay away from them. There are a lot of better car rental companies out there. (Like all others) They do not give you any advance notice that they require triple the amount at pick up.
