Good Points
Excellent Massive Beach less than 2 minutes walk from the Festa Platja Apts. We would recommend it to anyone with a young family. Who needs a low budget holiday.
Bad Points
Weather not so nice after the third week in August.
General Comments
We first went to L'Estartit in 2000, just the two of us, my hubby and I. We relaxed like we had never relaxed before. 2 Weeks of doing nothing on the long beautiful beach of L'Estartit. We stayed in the Festa Mar apartments. We had a sea view apartment on the third floor. It was clean a little basic, but all you needed really. L'Estartit itself is a lovely cove and has lots of eating places and a lovely unspoilt little town with little shops. We always said that when or if we had children it would be the 1st holiday place abroad we would take them.
Well we first took our two little boys to L'Estartit in September 2006 for 2 weeks. They were 3 and 4 years old. We had a great time. They loved the beach. We stayed in the Festa Platja apartments underneath the Barracuda Bar run by English people. It's a great place with a swimming pool with a slide. Its lays side by side with the Festa Mar the swimming pools back onto one another. The entertainment is good and the food excellent value for money. We booked the holiday through the Barracuda Website and they booked our transfers and Apartment. We booked our flights with Ryanair and flew from Stanstead to Gerona. The boys and us had such a good holiday we booked again for 2007. Where again we had a fun time. We plan to go back in 2009
