“The retailer exchanged a faulty (cheaper) Krups model...”

written by geomowat on 20/01/2009

Good Points
Produces a uniform grind on its different settings (that are easy to adjust) and once one has learned a combination of this with the time required, it reproduces the same amount each time.

Bad Points
The collection box requires the operator to keep an eye on it during grinding as it has a tendency to vibrate out of the machine a little bit. The degree of fineness control is adjust by rotating the hopper which is extremely easy to operate, but one does have to remember not to pick up the machine by the hopper and then not check its setting.

General Comments
The retailer exchanged a faulty (cheaper) Krups model with this Dualit and I have to say that it is far superior in all respects. The clockwork duration operation seems quirky at first, but this and the adjustment for the fineness of grind both work very well indeed. Copes better than most with oily high-roast beans as they flow unassisted out of the hopper. As a coffee enthusiast, I am very happy with this purchase " so much so I have bought another for the other house we use.
