Good Points
A brilliant take on a traditional tale. An excellent production for the small scale theatre. Good original music, fantastic singing from the entire cast, outstanding acting and energy, enthusiastic audience participation and spectacular use of lighting.
Bad Points
Cannot find anything bad to say about the production.
General Comments
It was refreshing to see something a little different. The Tron pantomime is not your traditional festive pantomime. Mother Bruce is a fantastic, Glaswegian version of a classic fairytale. The small production has all the energy of a big budget pantomime, and in many ways is enhanced by the more intimate venue, where you are much closer to the stage. I would recommend this production to adults, and older children, around 8+. It is not unsuitable for younger children as such, but has less to keep them entertained. This is not a bad thing, Mother Bruce is aimed at a slightly different audience than your average panto.
An excellent evening out, and I will certainly be returning next year.
