General Comments
Needing to update my Tomtom Go510, I decided to try some other sat nav's. I bought a Medion 3930? from Aldi's, and was very impressed both by its features and navigation. It also had a nice clear display. But it was only a 3.5 display and I couldn't read it easily. I then decided to try a Becker. Halfords had a special offer going on Z101, so I bought one. Initially I was not impressed with the very confusing and unorthodox menu system. However once I had figured out how to use it I found it very easy to use, and it hasn't yet led me astray or failed in any way. I particularly like the speed assist function, which I set to warn at 1 MPH above the speed limit. While minor roads are not on the database most major roads are, and its pretty accurate, changing speed limits very quickly as you pass the signs. I also find the POI very useful, particularly for parking in a strange town. A couple of clicks on the nearest parking POI , and it takes you there. As a caravaner the "Truck" option is very useful when planning routes. So overall, with very clear 4.3 display, good voice direction and consistent results, I have already bought a better Becker, slips off the tongue doesn't it!
