Good Points
Kids can publish their own stories and art work

General Comments
Do you know any children who would like to publish their self composed stories or hand drawn pictures on the internet? I would like to recommend a great web site for children: Kids' Space International. At this site, children from 170 countries get together, show their creativity, and learn from one other. The site has been on the web since 1995, and has received many international awards from Tokyo, London, Stockholm, and San Jose. At the site children will find over 10,000 creative stories, more than 2000 collaborative picture books, and almost 2000 drawings "all created by kids for kids. The site monitors every submission and is totally clean and child safe, with no links to any outside sites. You can view such things as a picture book illustrated by a boy in Afghanistan that inspired a story written by a boy in Nepal, or a picture drawn by a girl in Tokyo that inspired a girl in California to compose a story. Another fun area is the monthly stories where children use a set of five pictures posted each month. They use these pictures in place of words throughout their stories. Children under 13 years of age can join Kids' Space for free and share their work with the world. Teachers are also welcome to join for classroom projects. This is a rare site with a wide range of international readers and fun learning activities without advertisements.
