General Comments
I have been a NatWest customer for years and while I have been irked here and there have always been more or less satisfied with their service ... until now.
It seems to be possible to accidentally transfer large amounts of money to your disused credit card instead of another account with a different bank at the touch o f a button ... without NatWest alerting you about this.
Now, I've been talking for half an hour before I (!) noticed the money had gone into the credit card (now +500 £ in credit ... can I charge them 16% interest on it...?). However, it seems NatWest is unable to re-transfer the money and transfered me to the (very rude) NatWest credit card department.
No - they can't re-transfer the money, either ("well, why should we do that - that would cost us money, no?") - but they can tell me it's my fault and I don't have any reason to complain to them! All they can do is to send me a cheque, over £500 which will arrive within 10-14 working days and can then eventually cash the cheque to have the money back on my account in 2 or so week, which, I transfered only three days ago in the first place!
I'm ranting, I know ... but their service just really is so seriously useless - thinking about changing to HSBC...
