Good Points
Very easy to drive. Shower and toilet facilities and all usual kitchen things. 4 seat-belted seats so usable as a daily vehicle if you have a family.

Bad Points
2 + 2 does not mean 4 people it means 2 adults and storage, certainly not safe to put a child on the top area. Fiddly bed that certainly isnt comfortable unless you lie on a quilt or thick mattress of some sort. Shower ok in emergencies but not daily use. Limited awnings to fit. If you have a bike rack fitted you have to remove the whole thing to empty the cassette toilet. Only a small gas bottle will fit below the wardrobe floor.

General Comments
We love our Talbot Avalon but have had to find out the hard way things like removing the whole bike rack to empty the toilet etc. The van itself is great to drive even if you've never driven a van before except if you have a back step on it remember its there when you reverse.
If we'd been more knowledgeable about campervans (having not even been in a tent) we would have purchased something with a fixed bed as its a nuisance to keep making it up in a confined space. However we are only just beginning and this is suitable for what we want to do for weekends and even a week away next month. We've bought an awning to expand the space and for other members of the family to sleep in.
