General Comments
My experience at Motorworld Volkswagen in Kidlington with the salesperson I bought my car from in person was generally good, they were helpful and pointed out areas that, although made them a bit more money, actually benefitted me as the customer too. I can't fault them on this.
The car I wanted had to be factory-built, which understandably meant there would be a period of a few months before I would receive it. However, it was at this stage silly mistakes started to creep in - phone numbers got wrong (after at least one successful phone call to me) and e-mail not replied to, even though all this information had been given to them correctly.
They managed to get my first name wrong despite it being in my e-mail (provided to them) and on the cheque provided as a deposit.
While these are undoubtedly human error, I would expect better of a business of this type. I would hesitate to deal with them with a future purchase as a result.
