Overall, a disappointing day. My car had broken down so I was upgraded to a DB9, fine. The staff are all very professional and courteous but this is essentially a squeeze-the-money out of the punter event. Insurance at £25 (dare you not take it where you have to pay the first £2000 of any scrape - and any scrape in one of these cars is going to cost at least that) plus all the other "up-sell" bolt-ons means that this can be a very expensive day with little to take away except the flash-in-the-pan drive in an expensive car at not a very high speed (oh - and a certificate which you don't get until she has gone through her spiel about other things you should buy). I am only glad I chose a local track (Elvington) as I live in York. If I had driven a long way for that I would be really annoyed.
Pluses: 1. Local (for me). 2. Bragging rights having driven a flappy paddle DB9.
Minuses: 1. Slow track due to layout and traffic. 2. Was that really 5 laps? 3. Give the pretty girl your wallet and let her empty it.
Overall: 2 out of 5
