After Reading Reviews About This Hotel, I Was A Bi

After reading reviews about this hotel, I was a bit concerned. As it happened everything was fine. We were a party of six (aged 13, 17, 24, 37 and 68) and enjoyed our stay. If you are after a loud, 'Brits on tour' holiday then this is not the place for you.

Our overall holiday was very pleasant. Cambrils Playa is a bus ride away from Salou and Cambrills Harbour. Port Aventura is 20 minutes away and the bus stops directly opposite the hotel and drops you off at the Park.

The beach opposite is lovely. Sunbeds are €4 and umbrellas are €5 (covers three beds).

The food was fine - something for everyone. Fish, veal, turkey, spaghetti, chips etc. were on the menu each night. They also had fruit, cakes and ice-cream for desert.

Evening entertainment consisted of a Mini-mini-mini-mini disco starting at around 9.15. The guy that did it was lovely and made up his own unique dances.

There was a different artist every night including Flamenco dancers, Hoola-Hoola girls, singers, keyboard players etc.

Behind the hotel there is a tennis court, crazy golf and another swimming pool. You have to pay a €10 deposit for the rackets etc, but this is returned.

The bar staff were pleasant and always smiling.

I Would Not Recommend This Hotel At All. The Food

I would not recommend this hotel at all. The food was horrible there was no entertainment in the day or night apart from a bit of music on a CD player that didn't even work right. We arrived early hours on the Wednesday morning, I was crying to come home on the Saturday, they didn't make us feel welcome at all. The only good thing about it was that it was clean and near the beach.

All Inclusive Is A Joke. The Food Was Cold And The

All inclusive is a joke. The food was cold and the same for lunch and evening meals. The pool side bar was not open the whole stay, and food over at the main bar, ie. chips and toasties, you were left waiting for. We couldn't wait to come home, as this trip was a nightmare for the whole family of 5. There was no entertainment at the Cambrils Playa Hotel in Salou, except if you like Boney M's greatest hits 7 nights in a row.

I would like to know where the MyTravel rep was meant to be.

2003 -cambrils Park In Salou Is A Very Warm Welcom

2003 -Cambrils Park in Salou is a very warm welcoming place with a bunch of friendly staff and guests. Accommadation is in the form of bungalows, caravans or pitches for tents. Many facilities on site such as sports, shopping, 2 pools, bar and resturaunt plus many others. The park is situated in between the resorts of Cambrils and Salou which offer extended activities and a stretch of beach withing walking distance. The on site resturaunt offers a variety of foods although when busy we found ourselves waiting 2 hours for our meal. Also on offer was a takeaway service which was a great deal quicker. The pools on site are fun pools ideal for younger children but lack in areas for just swimming. There was entertainment on throughout each day with different activites for different age groups. In the evenings there was a chance to relax by the bar and watch shows and competitions which were all quite entertaining. These all tended to finish by about 12:00 and the camp settled for the night. This seemed a little early for older teenagers and some adults. Throughout the day and night the site was patrolled by a team of security guards who were there to ensure everyones safety, although in the evenings they were a little strict about letting you continue to enjoy yourselves after the evenings entertainment. If the campsite entertainment isn't your sort of thing then there are always the bars and clubs of salou which some are open into the early hours of the morning. We stayed in a Haven holidays caravan which wasnt anything too fancy but was clean and perfect for sleeping eating and getting changed before a night out! Overall i had a great time in my short stay at Cambrils Park. Maybe not everyones cup of tea but if u like a family based holiday with plenty going on with the option of creating your own entertainment then this is the place for you!
