Just Arrived Home From The Aparthotel Montagut, Su
Just arrived home from the Aparthotel Montagut, superb, room excellent, staff very friendly swimming pool a little small but never went without a sunbed, use of other h.top hotels a bonus. Food typical of Spanish hotels but always something to eat, did hear other brits complain but also saw that those complaining never tried what they were complaining about...find it difficult to see why so many bad reviews!!! Try for your self is my advice. We paid £705.00 for 10 nights all inclusive and had a fantastic holiday in fact we are going back in September and next July.....please take it from me this is far better than most 4 star hotels, rooms are outstanding

We Stayed Stayed 6 Nights On The All Inclusive Pro
We stayed stayed 6 nights on the all inclusive programme at Aparthotel Montagut in Santa Susanna, don't understand where all the bad reviews come from. Reception staff are friendly, bar and restaraunt staff are friendly, food is typical spanish buffet style but always plenty of choice and hot.
rooms are clean and quite roomy housekeeping is excellent, rooms cleaned, fresh towels beds made every day
entertainment is a little thin on the ground but generally every night there is something to occupy you.
many good bars and restaurants (try the station for a steak fantastic) within 10 mins walking distance and the beach is only 5 mins walk away
pool is on the roof small but clean with quite a few sunbeds available and a few tables and chairs.
the only thing i could say that is a little frustrating is the fact that there is not enough seating (3 plastic tables and 12 plastic chairs) outside to enjoy a drink or watch the world go by.
all in all when you consider the low low cost of staying here you realy cant go wrong its genuine value for money.

It Was Our First Visit To The Costa Brava, And We
It was our first visit to the Costa Brava, and we loved it. Everybody is very friendly and helpful.
We went to Barcelona on the train one day, it was a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the train station. We payed 18 euro's for a return, as age 5 and under travel for free.Barcelona is a lovely place with lots to do. Make sure you get off the train at Barcelona-pl. Catalunya as all the shops are there and not Barcelona Sants, as they are doing a lot of work there and its more like a building site.
I would recommend Melies, a small restaurant in Malgret. They do fantastic ice creams and food.
Melies was always busy, it had a great atmosphere.
we would definately go back next year!!

Just Down The Road From The Hotel (about 200 Meter
Just down the road from the hotel (about 200 meters) was Malgrat. Not alot in Santa Susanna really, if you wanted something to do, then go to Malgrat. There was, however, a market in Santa Susanna every Tuesday and 1 in Malgrat every Thursday. Plenty of shops in Malgrat, jewellery, clothes and souvenirs and also a few mini-supermarkets and newspaper shops that sold English newspapers & magazines.
There is a train station at the far end of Malgrat where you can get a train to Blanes, Tossa, Lloret, Barcelona, if you prefer too make your own way too these places other than booking an excursion, it's probabley cheaper actually! Our rep advised us on what times too catch them, and what number buses & where from, although we didn't actually use them.
I'd recommend you attend the welcome meetings aswell, the information was useful & there was no pressure too book excursions. Our excursions were booked through the travel rep (Airtours), advice given by the rep was excellent, he could answer anything and he was available as advertised. Excursions were reasonably cheap & good value for money. We went to Barcelona 3 times and saw the fountains twice. The city is very nice. The atmosphere is wonderfully welcoming, but watch out as beggars will come up to you with babies in their arms, with these big sad eyes (like little puppies!), with their hands stretched out to you, wanting money. These kinds of people will also come into resturants and disturb you while you're eating, waiters will try to get rid of them, but they won't leave until they've been round every table & are satisfied that no-one will give them anything. Don't give them anything either and don't feel pressuered into giving them anything. The fountains are absolutley amazing. I've never seen anything like them. They were going through all these wonderful colours, whilst 'dancing' to music! The excursion to Port Aventura was a bit expensive, well only about 50e, but i didn't think it was worth that much for what it actually was because there wasn't actually that many rides, and a few of them were closed. There wasn't any characters that you could 'meet' and everywhere you looked there was pictures of woody woodpecker, so i'd avoid this place like the plague if you find him abit obnoxious!!! By the end of the day, you'll be sick at the sight of him!!! (nevertheless i still watched him on television when i got home!!)
In summary, what else can i say other than i enjoyed every minute of this holiday, & i would definatley go back again, but Airtours aren't going there next year, so i'll have to wait for the next brochure! Santa Susanna is a lovely place, & don't believe any bad reviews you read about it!!!!! I'd definatley recommend it to anyone, i even enjoyed this holiday more that when i went to Calafornia.
It's definatley the best holiday i've been on!
sorry but i do not agree with that what so ever, yes the place was nice but the hotel was nothing. I only got back today and beleive me i was waiting for this day to come. Please take my word for things do not go there
totally agree, best holiday i ever had
