Very Durable, Loads Of Room For Its Size, Just Bec
Very durable, loads of room for its size, just because it's a Land Rover. It is a bit heavy on fuel but overall, I think it's the best 4x4 by far.

I Bought A New Td5 Pick Up On A 52 Plate. I Am A F
I bought a new TD5 pick up on a 52 plate. I am a farmer and had previously owned Hardtops. I much preferred the pick up as it was very much quieter and the cab stayed cleaner. When you have dirty dogs jumping in the back their tails flick mud everywhere, and they smell :-)
The vehicle pulled well and was happy to sit at 70 mph, but not much more. There was reasonable performance when the turbo kicked in.
On the downside were the usual things. The cab is cramped. I am 6 foot. Any taller would have been a real pain. The controls were very basic, and if it sat out in the rain, the air intake took in a little water. When you tried to use the heater, the windscreen misted up until the water evaporated and then cleared!! Part of the charm, or a pain in the butt.
I have sold my farm and changed it for a Freelander (which I love), but if I were still farming I would probably still have it, although I would be tempted by the Nissan Navara.
