LG WM-1480FHD

I've had my LG WM-1480FHD washing machine for coming up to 10 years. It has been used about 7 or 8 times a week, filled to the brim each time. I've had it mended a few times over the years and my appliance man has never had a problem fixing it relatively cheaply. I am now having to replace it sadly and will definitely be considering another LG.

Our LG WM1480FHD machine has worked without any problems for 9 years, and never had a problem with the machine. This has been the Quietest machine Ive had.

Our Previous Washing machine was an Araston washer dryer That kept going Wrong & Wrong & Wrong (was always noisy the condensor broke down 2 months out of warranty, and in the just under 3 years we had the machine Pumps x 2 Brgs X2 and the final straw was program module)..

This LG has been a dream still working but bearings starting to rumble a little over the past month, and cme to this web site as I am looking at replacing it .. and was surprised to see the bad the bad reviews.

After 9 years the £450 paid = £50 per year thats less that a lottery ticket a week .. That to me has made it value for money, It came with a promotional 5 year LG warranty and insurance included as the product was new on the market, which we used once when it was 3 years old(Our Fault) due screw driver left in one of my pockets went through the door rubber, LG were out within 24 hours and replaced same day.

Do not buy any washing machine from LG period! Poor product, mold problem, just replaced gasket door at 300 bucks not covered. Techs tell me the product is garbage and they have a hard time getting parts and getting paid. Very expensive buying mistake! I will throw it in the street if another problem occurs which they tell me most likely will. Hate this machine! Not reliable, total waste of money. Paid too much!

After my experience with the LG WM-1480FHD washing machine I will never buy or recommend anyone to buy an LG Product of any kind again. Service call-out £72.50 exorbitant. Repair cost £181. I only paid £374 for the machine.

Bought it just before I moved to Australia and was delighted with it. It is simple to use, and it gives a good wash with plenty of options, including spin only.

My LG WM-1480FHD washing machine broke down with a fault to the bottom main electric board. The cost to fix is $400. Couldn't get in touch with LG to get it looked at so had to get a local repair man. The part would take 2 weeks to arrive. It's typical of our disposable society. Will most likely buy another make of machine.

Make sure you take out extended warranty, and it can be transferred if you move. I expect longer then 3 years out of a washing machine, especially when it is at the higher end of the price market.

Bought the LG WM-1480FHD 1.5 years ago.

Before it goes into spinning for drying it's often having problems - time remaining will be for example 12 minutes, and it will stay like that for 20 minutes and give up.

When washing jeans in my opinion it is pretty noisey - especially

because it's sold as a 'whisper-quiet' washing

machine.

Obviously opinions about what is loud are personal

Helpdesk can exchange the module so it doesn't hang but then the programs are different and there is no quick/save-button anymore with the 30 minutes program.

For example the program we always use takes 2h5m on quick and with the new module takes 3h3m.

Helpdesk employees have no idea what the differences are between the 2002 and 2004 model.
