Poor Wear Problem
Continentals fitted on 6 month old tucsan 9000 miles and down to wear limit ,hankooks fitted to our year old santa fae 30000miles getting replaced tommorow ,same drivers using both cars ,hyundai dealer taking problem up with continental on our behalf, would not buy another new car fitted with continentals, beware,,,,,,,,,,,,, ps santafae is also used daily for towing ,any one else have same experience
Not For Long
Tyres are for 2-3 years only, even if you don't drive a lot. I'd buy something else next time though all my summer tyres were continental before.

Good Economy But Excessive Wear
£444 for a set of 4 from Kwik Fit. OEM was Bridgestone, I got 35k miles from them.
18 months and 18k miles later on the Conti's and I'm down to the wear limit (but I do get good fuel economy).
I'm not a sporty driver - most miles are on Motorways so the tyres are inflated to the stated max (41psi)
Got a blister on the front nearside tyre after 15k....that came out of nowhere. No scuffing on the tyre.

Conti's Are Over Rated
Contact 2 are an expensive over rated & priced summer tyre, that wears out very quickly.
OK dry road holding. OK wet road holding. Very poor tread wear for the cash spent.
Extremely poor for winter use.

Contis Contact 2 On Audi A4
Had over 25,000Kms on them and is ready to replace why ?
- The handling is bad, it can't run on a straight line. It drifts to the left even after computerized allignment
- Wear is not even
- Very noisy
- The rubber compound is hard and you can feel all bumps and stuff
- Grip on dry is below average, on Wet is bad - no grip
- After 10,000Kms, the tires has very visible cracks around the side wall
Don't buy these tires, it shouldnt be on the market at all.

Yet Another Ruined Tyre !
I have now replaced FIVE Contisport C3 tyres due to bubbles appearing in the sidewalls. All of these tyres have had to be replaced long before they have worn out, due to bubbles appearing in the sidewalls.
The bubbles are very soft and can be pushed in easily with your finger. They have varied from the size of a large marble, to one about the size of half a golf ball!
I've searched the internet and this seems a common problem for these tyres.
Dangerous! - No more Contisport for me!
Similar experience. I've had to replace 3 of these tyres on my Volvo V70 D5 in the last 2yrs (less than 10,000 miles), the first within 2 months. Each time following contact with (minor) potholes on sufaced roads. Running over nice flat surfaces is fine, but the thin walls don't seem man enough for non-motorway UK roads. Motoring is expensive enough without having to rerplace these pricey tyres every 3,000 miles.
