The Gr-dvj70 Is One Of Jvc's First "upright" Minid
The GR-DVJ70 is one of JVC's first "upright" MiniDV camcorders from their 1997-98 product range. It has many features of use however being an older camcorder it features no LCD screen or DV-Out for sending to a computer to edit. It does however have the JVC JLIP image capture system when used with the optional docking station.
The camcorder is generally a good camcorder if you don't want the nice little luxuries that other models do such as the screen and extra outputs. But if all you want is a camcorder that will capture those special moments then this is the one for you.
Some of the plus sides to this camcorder include its large range of effects such as transitions between scenes and the effects such as Sepia, Grayscale, Strobe, Old Movie and others.
The full colour viewfinder is very useful though it still does not compare to a flip out LCD when it comes to ease of use.
The microphone produces good clear high quality sound with a wind reduction system and there is also a microphone input situated at the front of the camera.
The output is simply an AV Out, but if you purchase the docking station you can also make use of S-Video out.
Although this model is now out of production, you can generally pick one up for around £250 on eBay.
Good and informative, but more info on what the JLIP system does as opposed to PC Input?
