Tom Clancy, Rainbow Six - I Was Enjoying The Book
Tom Clancy, Rainbow Six - I was enjoying the book and wanting to see how the evil characters would be unmasked. I was at the point of the IRA attacking Rainbow 6 when Clancy lost control of his book. He used the most artificial method to throw the spotlight on Popov. In literature terms it is called duex ex machina, which means an unexpected, artificial, or improbable character, device, or event introduced suddenly in a work of fiction or drama to resolve a situation or untangle a plot. Clearly Clancy could not figure out how to reveal Popov without employing a ridiculous scene where a wounded IRA man willingly responded to probing questions about Popov. At that point I tossed the book! But earlier, I noticed that Dr. Brightling had built the survival enclave in the Midwest and it was completed before the medical tests were. Seems to me that I would not have even started construction until I knew I could spread the virus and have a 99.999% kill.
You shouldn't write reviews on a book that you did not even read all the way through. The book came together very expertly in the end, and was well written. I enjoyed the book very much and would recommend it to anyone.

This Is Definatly One Of The Best Books I Have Eve
This is definatly one of the best books I have ever read. Rainbow Six would be the first Tom Clancy book I read so far and it just shows me how amazing of a writer he is, and I'm only half-way done with it! He descibes everything so well and it's so cool how he describes it. If you are looking for just pure shooting and huge explosions with no real meaning except for shooting, shooting, shooting, then don't get this, you're far too unintellegent for this book. However if you are looking for a real thriller that not only has plenty of action scenes but a good plot and storyline then get this. Most of the exciting parts are when they plan how they are gonna take the terrorist out. It's full of suspense and makes you think what you would do! So if thats what you're looking for, your search just ended!
I agree 100% with what you said. The book is awesome and I couldn't say it better than you did.

The Book Was One Of The Best I've Ever Read And I
The book was one of the best i've ever read and I strongly recommend it. If you liked "Without Remorse" this is a must buy novel. It starts out with Ding and John in a plane on the way to England were there are some terrorists aboard. Ding and John take them out and the plot builds quite rapidly.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Is The Most Brilliant Act
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is the most brilliant action thriller book. Good description of people, places and things. Recommended for everyone over 13 years old due to excessive use of coarse language. This book cannot be missed. The way Clancy keeps you in suspense and makes you want to continue reading is amazing. All of his other books are also fantastic.

I Would Recommend Rainbow Six Because Of The Thoug
I would recommend Rainbow Six because of the thought provoking issues on looking after the planet. Pity it has to be nearly 1,000 pages. Good ending though - no spoiler !

I thought that Rainbow Six, by Tom Clancy, was an excellent book, Clancy made you wanna keep on reading. The whole multinational anti terrorist group was a great idea. Rainbow Six By Tom Clancy Makes For Excellent Read
Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy makes for excellent reading. It catches the readers attention and is very suspenseful. I wouldn't recomend this book to younger readers though because the language is too much. Plus the violence in this book is too much.

Rainbow Six Is Clancy Running On Autopilot. Whilst
Rainbow Six is Clancy running on autopilot. Whilst the original concept behind it - an elite multinational counterrorist special ops team is created by NATO to deal with global terrorism in the post cold war world - is intriguing and potentially thrilling to read about, the novel as a whole fails to capitalise on this. The characters (with the possible exception of a character who isn't even one of the soldiers) are dull and we have no pathos with them. Clark, the dark horse hero of previous Clancy novels, has become a boring desk jockey and none of his comrades are memorable. There are too many small characters for the author to be able to develop any of them in enough detail. This may seem unlikely in an 800 page book, but the space is taken up with (admittedly exciting)hostage rescue scenes and a mass of irrevelent detail, which is often also incorrect (cooking beef prevents BSE, for example) and stereotyped depictions of foreign people and customs (Australians and Brits will be the most offended here). And the ending is so appalling! It's like Clancy got bored and decided to stop. No build up of tension or anything. Rubbish. Avoid like the plague.

This Book Is A Brilliant Insight Into The Way The
This book is a brilliant insight into the way the minds of terrorists work and the thoughts of the guys who have to lead them to meet their maker. Plenty of gripping hostage situations which leave a real feeling of suspense. The way the Rainbow members skills are described and what they acheive made me go out and buy a bb gun. A truly brilliant book.
