Still Rolling
Good basic bike. Long lasting in my case. Have it since 1999, so 13 years later, i converted it in a ''urban'' bike. Still does the job, a heavy bike for the usage, but give's you a good cardio workout. Only thing i might have to change is the Shimano drivetrain. Minimum investment from now one till i get a new bike.

After 2 Years My Norco Kokanee Bike Is Starting To
After 2 years my Norco Kokanee bike is starting to show some signs of wear. It's quite high weight for a hard tail is a let down but the frame shape is comfortable and works well off road. The gruopset is cheap but works and needs little or no major servicing.
Cheap bike with cable discs, these are easy to upgrade to hydraulic discs. Comfortable and usable frame shape. Seems to be quite strong as i've riden this bike a lot off road for 2 years and it's still mostly in good working order.
Cable discs are weak and dont offer much in the way of braking. the bike is heavy for a hard tail. The front shocks are bottom of the range and it feels like it. i've had to replace the bottom bracket, rear wheel and rear brakes so far. I upgraded the rear brake to a hydraulic system as this offers very much improved braking.

The Norco Kokanee Bike Is Made For The Bigginger-
The Norco Kokanee bike is made for the bigginger- Intermediate riders. You can take it off-road and on-road, it's a decent weight, not too heavy, but at the same time keeping the frame nice and strong. The shocks are pretty bad quality: I busted mine. but other than that, they're good.
