Antony Hopkins is my idol! As soon as I knew about the film Hannibal(2 weeks ago) I went out and bought it. I decided my chosen film snack would be a TESCO 400g tin of beans!!!!!!!! I was so scared I'm still having nightmares and scared too face the outside world incase Hannibal is out there!!!!

in one line: this movie really sucked after seeing silence of the lambs and manhunter, it wasn't as good as i thought....

After seeing the first film i thought it would definitely be worth viewing this well advertised sequel, Hannibal....how wrong was I....As soon as the film started i remember thinking how slow it was...it took ages for anything interesting to happen. I also found that there were some seriously sick parts thrown in which didnt need to be in there - it was almost as if the directors couldnt be bothered to be original. If I were you I would watch it if there was nothing else on the tv worth watching but I would definitely not rent the film.

Unlike silence of the lambs, Hannibal wasn't very well thought out. the first one of this series was phenominal in terms of thought, and detail. It was one of thost movies you can't miss. This movie: hannibal though, you can miss. It's not worth seeing in movies. I think the main thing, for all the gore was that he didn;t have any other way of appeasing the audience, so the director threw in these groteque details to make up for that. However, the sound and lighting is quite unsurpassed, except for gladiator. Check it out.
