Quoted 2 hours for the job -then said it would be safe to book 3 hours to which I agreed ( it would save me money if it went over) Then I get charged 4 hours with no explanation. Beware. I did not like anything about the service.

“Hold on to your credit card details !!!!1”

9 hours late to move 3 items to the next road. Apparently took up to 1 hour, despite being there . Website and lack of communication designed to make you give up. They do not take the original agreed amount and use credit card details to take what they think is ok. Unsafe site asking for response , hence you do not query at the time. The most deplorable business I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. BE WARNED, IF YOU VALUE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS.

If we could give them no stars we would. They're trying to charge us for extra time we didn't have. They won't deal with the complaint till we pay. The local company was terrible. We payed for a driver and mate and I had to help as the driver was to fat to help and tried to get more money out me for the pleasure. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST!!!

“Do not use”

The driver came late, I was waiting for him downstairs, we move immediately he arrived, and the journey was less than 14 mins from SE23 TO SE6, how come £50. and this happens off peak hours. No loading or off loading required. Please don't give your debit or credit card details they will over charge you times 4 without refund.

“Boyfriend did most of the work!”

They arrived and quickly got to work, however they didn't ask about what actually needed to be taken so ended up having to bring some things back out of the van. My boyfriend ended up helping them to load things up and take things apart even though we were told the team was qualified and had their own tools to do disassembling. Me and my mother had to drive in front of them because they didn't know where they were going and when we got to the new house they just put everything in the front room, leaving me to take it to where it needed to be. Second trip and they refused to move the 2 sofas and 2 chairs saying it would be to hard, this meant my mother and boyfriend had to move it for them. Then I was told I would be charged extra!! Complete waste of money, i might as well have hired a driver and moved everything with my mum and boyfriend

“bad experience ”

I had booked with van plus and paid the amount they quoted me on. when the day came and time went by no van had arrived I had to find a number for the company which took some time and rang them who rang me back and said that they had been trying to contact me as they had quoted me wrong and wanted a further £187.50 I said I didn't have that money and they kept telling me to go on cumstomer support online and I had a girl ringing me up twice trying to cold call me into using there service, I explained that I was moving today and that I needed my stuff gone today as they had already cancelled the day before. some unqualified person explained to me that all the drivers are busy and that won't be able to do it until Monday. total joke. after reading how some customers had extra money taken out of there bank I'm gonna have to look into this as they never offered a refund.

“TOOK MY MONEY & NOT COLLECTED THE GOODS - DO NOT USE”

I booked Van plus and paid using my card at 7am in the morning. I booked the collection of a sofa and the driver was meant to arrive the same day at 5pm. I called twice during the day to confirm payment had been received and received an email to say the booking was paid and confirmed. At 5:30pm when I called the contact centre they wanted a further £134.00 more to the booking and they calculated the cost incorrectly ! I then spoke to Lexii the so called call centre manager who laughed when I said I was been requested more money and I should have organised something else a few days ago rather than last min. Lexii appeared to sound like a teenager and i also could hear her collagues also laughing at the back ! Its disgusting that such a company can even operate - she hung up on me and then the contact centre refused to connect the call as they were in the philippines ! Please do not use this company - total joke.

“Terrible Service ”

I booked a van for a Saturday at 1pm. They never turned up. I was left on the road with heavy boxes and no means of transporting them. I called them to ask where my van was, they told me they did not have my booking after already sending me a confirmation email and taking my bank details. They told me my only option was to speak to a support team memeber through live chat. When I did they told me they will check on it and be back with me in 1 min. 1 min turned to 2 hours no reply. All this time I was outside on the road with heavy boxes. I tried calling them after that and explain my problem, numerous members of their customer service team either put me on hold for unacceptable time periods or just hung up on me. Nobody was willing to help, nobody was willing to give me any answers. I asked to complain and they could not even let me know what the official complaint procedure was. I had to hire a taxi to move my things at considerable expense. I won't recommend them to anyone.

I booked a removal online with Van Plus and was told they would take my debit card details but would not take money from my bank till the job was done, next day the money was withdrawn from my bank. When I asked them why I was told they had not taken it, when I asked for the details of my driver they said my job wasn't allocated yet, I couldn't get through to my account online until I complained them, I was then put through to an unsecured site which showed they were searching for a driver to do my removal, I asked for refund as I had to move on the day stated and they couldn't guarantee me a service, I was then shown a set of terms and conditions which stated 100% canx fees, I tried trading standards and my bank, but nobody was any help,so I just lost nearly £300 and had to pay the same again to someone else to do my move. These people even have 2 companies that have ceased trading showing on the bottom of there internet page, do not use them, they should be prosecuted.

“Swindle”

I confirmed my moving with them for this afternoon between 2-3 and gave them my cc details for payment. At 3pm approx. I received an email telling me that the service was suffering a delay and that they would come from 3-4. At 4 I received a second email saying that the service was cancelled due to special circumstances. I was unable to contact anybody from this company. The money has been taken from my account and nobody is responding. I hope to speak to them tomorrow morning to rearrange the service asap. I will sue them in other case because I consider I am a victim of a criminal offense, a swindle. And they probably are doing the same to hundred of people who needs somebody to help them. I will not be quiet this time.

“Bad experience”

I booked this company by phone after finding them online. They quoted me £25 to move a wardrobe from our address to my son's address. They said they needed a credit card number to secure the booking. I found the driver very good but he had been given the wrong telephone number by company and could not get hold of me. I found his mobile number when I went on their website. He called me back and eventually turned up nearly 3 hours late. The next day I had a call from my bank to say that someone (called Van Plus) was trying to take a large transaction from my card. I rang the company and they sounded vague and said they'd look into it. However, I had to cancel my credit card, The company had taken the £25 they quoted, then they tried to take a large amount as well. I am also reporting it to the fraud squad

“Fraudulent credit card charges!”

I booked this service, and received a hard sell from one of their phone operatives: no problem, and I thought by paying such a large premium, I would be ensured good service if things went wrong. What a misjudgement - despite a receipt after the job was completed, confirming what I had been charged and showing a zero charge for overtime, I was charged an extra £40. Their automated system for complaints doesn't work correctly, and anyway only allows you a very small space to explain the problem; email addresses are virtually impossible to obtain; calls go straight to voicemail and don't receive a response. I urge all consumers to avoid this company at all costs - sadly, the terrible reviews have come out since I used them - and those who have also experienced their atrocious customer service to report them also to Trading Standards, Watchdog, You and Yours and any other avenue you can think of to help shut this company, and their sharp (fraudulent?) practices down for good.

I too am a victim and having $200 taken out of my account which was unauthorized. I am making it my mission to see that this company is shut down. They even went so far as to tell me the manager disabled the review section on their site. Gee.. I wonder why! They don't want people realizing what they are. If you come across any other agencies to contact please post the information on here so I can contact them too. I am being refunded thank goodness but the experience leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. I would like to see them shut down. Justice done.

“DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM!!!”

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK CARD DETAILS ETC. I called on 24 July 2017 (today) and booked a van rental service. As soon as the call began I asked if it was being recorded. They replied yes. I made the booking and then they said they needed my card details for pre-authorization to hold the van rental. I asked if the funds would come out and they said no. I said if I call and cancel will I be charged. They replied no. I then found a much cheaper and better rental van option.. I called to cancel and they gave me the run around. They said I had to use the chat option to cancel. No one could talk to me on the phone about cancelling. I then looked at my bank account and they took the money out. I called back repeatedly and each time I got the run around and excuses. I then went to the online chat center while I was on the phone with my bank. I repeatedly asked for their name and approval code. My bank needed that information to cancel their unauthorized withdrawal. They ignored my request and gave me yet another online link to submit a dispute. Wait.. I was told I could do that on the online chat option I clicked on. Hmmmmmm... So of course I clicked on that link.. yet more run around questions and bogus links. I then called back.. I was hung up on a total of 4 times today. I was also told twice someone from the support department would call. No one ever called and every time I call I get the run around. No one will give me a straight answer. I have made the authorities aware and 2 other companies are going to investigate them much to my relief. Another thing to pay attention to: their company is listed as Van Plus. When they took the unauthorized charges out of my bank account their name was listed as "Computer Program Integrated Systems and Data Sevice". Which my bank immediately red flagged, thank goodness. This company will not get away with this and I am currently having them investigated. DO NOT USE THEM AND BECOME A VICTIM LIKE I HAVE! DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THE COMPANIES YOU CALL.

“Use at your peril”

i booked a van to move a sofa to my elderly parents house for the sane dare their old one was gone. They were due to arrive between 4-5pm, by 5 I called and was initially told they were on their way. After another 39 minutes I called again and was told the driver had been double booked. My 80 year old parent didn't have anything to sit on. I was promised they would be there 12 the next day , 12.30 nothing.... Again I called them to be told they couldn't get anyone - but hadn't bothered to call me. After 15 calls they said they would have someone out at 4 pm , again no one turned up Eventually someone came at 6pm who was amazing but who would have charged me hand the price I had been quoted directly! I got no apology , no compensation for the extra time of work , stress , 36 calls and was charged the full price for the pleasure If you are looking for someone reliable , steer clear

“UTRUSTWORTHY”

I advice all NOT book with this company, they will cheat you on price, time and the service is pathetic, promises made by them are a joke. I was promised no charge on my credit until job was completed, asked booking agent several times. Within 20 minutes they charged full amount on my credit card and I immediately decided to cancel the booking because their booking agents lied to me. Was advised to contact their support team, no telephone number, only live chat. This is to avoid refunding any money. Cancelled same day and because they charged my credit card for the full amount without receiving any service (no removals done). I booked two weeks prior to my move and when I cancelled their support team refused to refund the money, the whole amount. I tried several time but with no luck lost my money. Strong advice to all, please avoid this fraudulent money grabbing removal company. Zero rating for everything.

I wish I had read this before, they are doing the same to me, I have notified the Trading Standards and was told they are in breach of consumer protection regulations for misleading information, I am persisting as I was advised to, I also asked for their address and a copy of their complaints procedure but none was forthcoming, they shouldn't be allowed to trade, I would advise you to go to Trading Standards and put your case as I have done

Same thing happened to me & I booked 5 weeks in advance. I put in a dispute claim with my bank as Van Plus weren't interested in refunding me. I also approached consumer services & requested that they put this forward to Trading Standards. I was looking on another review site & someone mentioned they had a friend at watchdog & mentioned it to him. I hope they look into this as they shouldn't be allowed to trade. It's theft at the end of the day.

Had them booked for yesterterday at 3pm, they messaged me at2.50pm to say they couldn't do the job! I'd had a day off work & spent the day packing! They shouldn't be taking jobs on until they have a confirmed driver. TERRIBLE

“If I could then zero I would ”

If I could give them zero I would. I organised, paid and had confirmed a van plus man for 1pm on a Saturday. On Friday night at 6pm I had a call from a driver called Saddas who said he could only do 7pm on Saturday. We told him it was too late and we needed him at 1pm as per the booking. He said ok. He then didn't turn up. When we rang him to ask where he was, he said he would be there at 7pm, like it was our preferred option!!! When we rang to complain, we were told that even though we were told he was going to be there, we should have rung the company to book another driver!!!!! We rang another number to complain and were told to read the terms and conditions!!!! Absolute madness, awful customer service, awful excuses. DO NOT USE, as if moving house is not stressful enough

“Don't use this company”

Van plus phoned me up and quoted me a price of £30 to collect a sofa bed for me. After completing the job I received an email receipt quoting the price of £30 and stating 0 hours overtime. This £30 had been taken from my back account. A couple of weeks later I noticed van plus had taken an additional £200 from my account. This had been taken without any communication from vanplus that they would be taking the money or what this payment was for. The bank also informed me vanplus had set up a reoccurring payment of £200 to be taken every month. I attempted to get in touch with Vanplus. The customer service was appalling and I found it impossible to speak to an actual person. Eventually I received an email explaining the extra charges were due to the fact the job had taken longer than expected. I had many other quotes from delivery companies all around the £30 - £50 mark so I know that £230 was not a reasonable price to charge. I feel vanplus were not clear and upfront in their pricing policy and took the £200 from my account in the hope I would not notice. I have requested a refund from them but have not received anything.
