opened late. if you have a flight soon after 5am, definitely wouldn’t recommend. and overpriced. we left our bags at around 5ish and wanted to get them 7-8 hours later to get the cheapest price, however they close at 11pm so we automatically got the 24 hour price. hours of stored luggage should only be counted for business hours so customers don’t get tricked.

I had the best experience from being here. The staff member Mustafe was very helpful and polite and showed nothing but respect, I’m happy to have been served by such lovely staff!

I appreciate a representative as the most beloved person to service for my luggage wrapping. Also he ensured that my personal belongings won’t be damaged and he didn’t fabricated. He truly Deserve a pay rise from the company.

*** LONDON KINGS CROSS*** So this person wouldn't allow me to put my luggage in hold as apparently it was full but allowed an elderly with a disability but wouldn't allow me or my disabled grandchild to put our bags in when I told him I had a disability he then behaved DISGRACEFUL. I had to get my stoma bag out to prove it and he said well why did you not tell me but why should I need to get my disability out in public he should believe me and take my word for it we've literally been down in London for my granddaughters hospital appointment for her rare genetic disorder that paralyses her ???? along with my daughter who has the same disorder

The valuable items were 'removed' from my case whilst at Glasgow Central station - and even from inside my toilet bag - before the case was delivered to my location by courier.

They stole my Macbook Air and its charger while my suitcase was in their company's possession so don't leave anything valuable in your bags if you do decide to leave them with Excess Baggage :)

Avoid this company like a plague! I had unfortunate chance of using them to send my bags. I had waiting for over 8 hours for the delivery guy to come and pick my bags. When he did not arrive, I called the company to find out that the driver had in fact come but because he couldnt see me, he left! I live on a 6th floor flat, of course he wouldnt see me unless he gives me a call to let me know hes outside. When I spoke to the customer agent on the phone, he was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. He blamed me for the whole thing and was very condescending. They then proceeded to charge me extra for driver to come again tomorrow, because I was desperate I paid and got my bags sorted out. Horrible, Horrible experience!

I shipped my baggage via Excess Bagagge Co's Heathrow T4 operation. The staff couldn't do enough to help, and when I found myself in the wrong terminal surrounded by bags (due to a crazy taxi driver) they sent staff to assist me. My bags were shipped faster that I could get to Australia and were all waiting from me at home when I got in the door.

After been quoted an initial 140GBP for a shipment from the UK to canada (1 box weighing 20kg...) I was given misinformation regarding the timeframes and estimated arrival by the UK team. After having to pay upfront costs, the service went downhill from hereon in. The courier arrived a day late to pick the boxes up - and once it was picked up I was then told that the box couldn't be shipped until I had arrived in the Canada (i.e. couldnt be held in a storage unit until my arrival a few days later as initially stated). This incurred UK storage costs when I could have just kept the goods at my premises for a while longer. Once I arrived in Canada, I continued to chase excess baggage who failed to inform my of the box's whereabouts until over a week later (and then I was told it would be a further 3 days for the goods to be released from quarantine). Handling costs/ admin charges etc were then added to a further invoice received - I was informed the box couldnt be released to customs until I paid a further $240 (approx 150GBP - more than my original quotation). I was then pressured into paying rather than fighting the charges as I was told if I didnt pay the box would head to storage unit where I would incur increasing costs... Appalling customer service. AVOID - DO NOT USE. I have had no further correspondence from Excess Baggage when I tried to raise the issue, hardly surprising.

I sourced this company on line to deliver a package from UK to South Africa. I paid all duties and shipping costs, only to learn that the goods had been seized on arrival in SA, as the Excess baggage company had liquidated in the mean time. Now the goods and the money are gone.....

This company GROSSLY misrepresented the costs I would ultimately bear for shipping a suitcase from Europe to the United States by a magnitude of 3. I had contracted to pay Excess Baggage approximately $230 "to courier door to door" said bag from Geneva, Switzerland to Washington, DC, USA. I paid this exact fee when my bag was picked up in Europe, and expected that this would be the complete cost for the transaction. I could not have been more wrong: when the bag arrived in the US, I discovered that I would need to pay the third party shipper chosen by Excess Baggage an ADDITIONAL $400; otherwise, my bag would not be released. This brought the full cost to an amount that was three times greater than I understood I would pay for this shipment. This is willful, deceitful misrepresentation. I would never have contracted with Excess Baggage had I known the real full cost I would bear would be three times more than I had initially been led to believe. Unfortunately, I had had no way of knowing when I signed the contract that these charges would exist, and that they could and would be so extensive. And Excess Baggage is clearly counting on their customers' ignorance in this way. It is also banking on the fact that its customers are in no position to have any inside knowledge of the third party shipper with which it has contracted to ship its baggage. When I questioned Excess Baggage about the fact that I was forced to pay three times more than I had expected per our contract, Excess Baggage unapologetically justified these extra charges by pointing to a small clause that authorizes them to third-party contract on my behalf with no regard to cost. I'm quite sure they must do this quite often. This is a highly unethical business practice. I regret ever having retained this company, and I am planning to notify the authorities and as many of my fellow consumers as I possibly can of the predatory nature of Excess Baggage's business arrangements.

My goods arrived eventually 3 months after I was told they would and despite the FACT I put Fragile stickers and this way up stickers on all the boxes on all the sides when the lorry turned up only a third of them were the right way up. Also be prepared for extortionate charges for alleged customs inspections both ends of your journey and a TOTAL disregard for your property. Think before you ever consider using this company as they could care less once they have taken your money

do not use Excess Baggage Company I shipped with them and insured my personal belongings for nearly $75,000 with them, I asked for assistance on filling out the insurance form and was told by my contact that I didn't need to put down every single item, YOU DO IN MINUTE DETAIL!!!they dropped a box at my house and broke things and as they are not individually listed they are refusing to pay, they hide behind small print and offer no customer service, I am now left with having paid $1800 for an insurance premium that is worthless !!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

These guys took months longer than they estimated to ship my stuff and when it arrived it was like someone had taken a baseball bat to it. Antique books, pictures and wooden artefacts were broken. Their customer service was terrible, they didn't get my name right in a single e-mail correspondence and their staff were totally incompetent and unable to help.

HORRENDOUS - STAY AWAY!! In short... these guys are AWFUL!! i paid for a 7-day services from Heathrow and cost me over £300 for 1 bag/26kg of golf equipment to Sydney, Aus. After 29days I then had to call the UK myself to find out what happened. This is where the catastrophes started... First of all 2 agents found it too much to help and hung up. Secondly, I had an agent (who was very helpful) got to the bottom of it and told me that the bag had actually arrived in Sydney 3 days after I did. She then gave me local agents names and details. I then found out from them that in fact the bag hadn't even left the UK until 10 days after I did due to a delay. On top of this the UK Excess Baggage Agents had incorrectly input my details and therefore the Australian agents PFS couldn't contact me. Well, by email that is! After sending emails to incorrect addresses the PFS (Aussie agents) didn't bother following up with a phone call to our mobile (Our number was on their system). When I inquired why I hadn't been contacted, they were "apparently going to follow this up this week". Since then I have written numerous emails to the local agents with both Excess Baggage blaming Aus agents PFS and vice-versa!! ALL the while they forget about the customer. Eventually I had to get in my car yesterday and drive to go and fetch the item from their driver because they proved incompetent! Today emails are still flying back and forth from the local agent Eddie (PFS) with terrible tones and at times abusing me... All the while Excess Baggage UK have not sent any reimbursement or explanations as to their mistakes and insolence. STAY AWAY FROM THEM PEOPLE!! THEY ARE HORRENDOUS!! i will happily foward all these emails and proof to anyone interested in this... These guys dont care and are ignorant!! Fuming customer...

XS Baggage lost my luggage. It's been 5 months and they are still avoiding paying the measly refund for my luggage ($300), considering my luggage contents were way way more than that. I would use other services if you're considering using XS baggage. It was absolutely upsetting and I wouldn't want others to experience what I experienced with this company.

Shipped boxes, door to door, from Toronto to London and arrived in days instead of a couple of weeks as expected. On returning to Toronto, one year later, air freight to airport service was selected and expected in 1-2 weeks. Contacted company when no notification of goods was apparent after 2 weeks. After a day, the company decided to courier boxes (10 with a total weight of 140lbs), and the goods were received at my doorstep. There was an error in processing my shipment and my boxes were waiting to be shipped by boat that resulted in the delay. The resolution to this error was exceptional and although the shipment arrived 10 days after my scheduled date, I did not have to clear goods at the airport and the company provided me a 15% refund. Most pleased with the service and would use for any shipping needs and recommend to anyone.
