Very Poor.
Signed up, was a lot talk but nothing substaital- all filler and trying to get you on their books.
don't seem to care what you are looking for and will throw anything at you in the hopes you take it.
Communication is abysmal!
You get your one 'handler' who will call you insesantly asking your hours for the week on a thursday claiming they want to help you get your timesheet sent off quickly when it makes no difference, you still get paid the same day it just gives them less paperwork to do on a friday afternoon and people will still be allowed to hand in their timesheets on monday which is their own official deadline anyway.
This is the only contact i ever had with my 'handler' she was always on leave whenever I needed her and when I emailed and did get a response, despite clearly bullet pointing my 2 or 3 queries I would only ever get an answer to 1 of them.. and reponses are never direct or straightforward it's like talking to a bot or a brick wall
Also experienced time off due to sudden illness and upon letting the agency know all I got was the 3rd degree, questions on what exactly specifically was wrong despite not being medically trained and explaining I was waiting to be seen as we were talking, she also hounded me for a return to work date, again while I was still waiting to be seen and couldnt give one.
Once i got a return date i informed my handler. I then got texts and calls thursday and friday for her collegues asking my hours, to which i was surprised as my handler knew i was off the week, yet they hadnt been told and she was again on leave. so she had passed her temps on but not disclosed any other info like who was needing to be contacted or not as theyre on holiday or off sick and all you need is to be hounded for 2 days on something that doesnt apply to you.
I've also emailed about other roles on their site, emailing the contact given in the description and been either ignored or told its been passed to someone else who then never got in touch despite follow up emails.
I also found out they have no idea how basic pay processes work, i.e if youre sick and you get SSP. I had to ring HMRC and other gov offices to find out myself before getting a reply from source4 2 weeks later.
Getting really sick of their lack of interest in their temps as theyre getting their cut, lack of communication between myself and them and also the communicatio in one tiny office.
doing everything i can to find something myself and get out from under them.
Incompetent!
I had the misfortunte of registering with Source4 Personnel, Twickenham in April this year. The consultant - Evie Kahn had called me following an online application for a temp admin role. The job was apparently due to commence the next day, so I had to come in and register, arranging for me to come in later that afternoon. After spending the best part of an hour travelling from Ealing to their branch in Twickenham I was 'greeted' by the receptionist and given a thick pile of paperwork to complete. Didn't perform a computer test (which they later emailed a prove-it test on 8 May) After that was done, and suffering cramp in my fingers I met with the consultant Evie and probably spent no more than 10 minutes chatting with her, mainly about my past employment on my CV. Ending our conversation by stating the role that she had called me about, that I was signing up for had now been filled. From that moment I knew my journey was a wasted one and got me to register with their agency under false pretences.
Evie called me the following week to try and put me forward for a 1 day reception role, though stating that I wasn't seeking reception work only office admin when I met with her, plus the hourly rate was less than I was seeking.
Also that same week after my registration I received a interview feedback form through the post where I had to rate my experience on a number questions from 1-10, 1 being poor and 10 being excellent. I was honest and rated most of the questions stated as 1 and gave my reasons why.
Then more recently on the afternnon of 15 June she calls me about a temp admin job based Brentford, working 4 days a week, 5 hours a day paying £7.50p/h. So I agreed to the role. She calls 2 hours later, just after 5pm on that Friday to confirm my interview the following Monday (18 June). Firstly while I was on the phone I had to write down the name, address of compnay and the person I was seeing (his title & surname, no first name given). Why couldn't she have just emailed it across? Never provided a job description. Maybe as it was a Friday, she wanted to leave on time, who knows!! She told me to research the company despite not providing the company's website address. Shortly after that phone call I googled the company name. Couldn't even find their website. All I could find was their address, company director's name, which was his title and surname. The exact information she had provided to me half an hour previously. I was beginning to wonder whether this job was actually geniune!!
So with no job description and no website to research the company on, how was I meant to prepare myself and a series a questions to ask for this interview? And why waste money travelling to this interview when I knew nothing about them or the role? She really must take for a fool! Does she think I'm that desperate enough to accept an interview not knowing the company or job role?
On the Monday morning instead of getting ready for this interview, that I had no intention of attending. I sent Evie an email stating that I was not attending this interview nor any other future interviews through their agency as I haven't been satisfied with them from the start. She called me about half an hour later to explain herself, not very well I might add! During the conversation she had the cheek to say that I should have contacted her if I had any issues. Why should I have to contact her when she should have at least sent me the job description and company details when the interview was confirmed. That should be standard and goes without saying!!
'Fail to prepare, prepare to fail'
So I have well and truly cut my losses and moved on. I am geniuely seeking employment and I haven't got time to be messed about. It's their job to help find me a job and if they cannot perform that main task effectively then they are not an agency I wish to waste my time with. Luckily the only loss I suffered was the money spent travelling there for registration. I wasn't prepared to waste anymore!!
