“Spammers at its best”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Vargas414 on 30/04/2020

G2 recruitment group (in my experience) works under the following scheme: - They spam about some job - You send them your CV - The recruiter gives you a call about yourself and the position, promising they are going to apply and keep you posted - He disappears (but keeps sending you more spam). For G2 recruiters, it is totally OK not to pick up the phone, use "emergency situations" to find some excuse why certain recruiter can't talk with you now. They want to have maximum number projects and maximum number of resume available, not to get you a new project. Avoid them. Don't lose your time trying to apply for any of the spam they're sending you. It's money-hungry British recruitment at its worst.

“Unpaid Wages”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Fry1986 on 14/07/2018

On returning to the office to commence the week of a contract as a Senior Town Planner in the West Midlands area, the employer changed the job description to include Enforcement work without prior consultation with me placing me in a role in which i had no recent experience and was therefore not qualified for or employed to undertake. I found this unacceptable and left the organisation forthwith as the job was not the one I was engaged to do. G2 Recruitment have withheld my pay for 40 hours from the previous week and, from what I understand, are not prepared to pay me the money that they owe. I have undertaken previous a previous 3 month contract as a planning officer with a different Authority under the auspices of G2 without any problem. However, I am a professional person who expects to work within the agreed job description and any unacceptable change in the role without prior consultation and agreement or consultation with me is a breach of trust and contract. G2 seem to have failed to recognise this or treat their professional contractors are an asset and not a product. Also, they have provided me no support only hostility and withheld a substantial amount of money due to me. I Therefore DO NOT recommend G2 Recruitment and would advise any contractor to tread very carefully before accepting any contract this this company. In my view, there are better and more professional companies around that offer stable employment opportunities for contractors and refrain from pocketing your salary

They email me with jobs that don't exist, and fish for information about my managers. They refuse to reply to me. Absolutely appalling. Avoid at all costs

Advertise ghost jobs then fish for your CV so they can contact your line manager(s) and tout for business. Promised me they would not contact my referees unless an offer was made. They were on the phone to my current manager within 10 minutes of me submitting my CV!!

“Ignorant, Spammy, Superior”

I have sent a CV to them through a job board and have had ignorant responses that cause me to believe the jobs are not real. I have asked this company many times to remove my details and they refuse me. I have been recieving emails for very bad job matches that clearly have not been manually reviewed, and recieve multiple emails for the same job on 2 different email addresses. Their unsubscribe request doesnt appear to work. I have emails from them going back 5 years and a written request from me to unsubscribe from over 3 years ago. And many requests since. I have found email addresses for 2 guys who appear to be company directors and sent a complaint through to them and had no response. I urge companies not to use recruiters who treat prospective employees so rudely, or who use blanket searches to advertise themselves and fish for CVs. I will not apply for jobs that are advertised through these people.
