I placed an order with 999 Inks for a relative and, despite taking the money for the order after 10 working days he had received zip. Despite several emails, at least 2 faxes and a letter asking for a refund neither of us got a reply from the company and no refund.

Eventually, and probably on the threat of follow up action, the order finally arrived nearly 4 weeks late - not bad when they quote 1-4 working days!. They had obviously panicked as they had been forced to make the order up partly… Read Full Review

I ordered toner cartridges three weeks ago. I paid through Google Checkout. They took my money straight away. I got an order acknowledgement straight away, from Google. Nothing from the supplier. On third phone call (8 Dec) I was told order had now been placed & would be in 1st class post that day. On-line check resulted in php error message. After 4 phone calls to answerphone (using order option instead of order tracking) and 3 emails eventually was told of "technical error", items would be in the post that day. Ordered printer inks on 10 Oct 2008. The money left my account four days later, but ten days later no ink has arrived, despite a statement on the 999inks site saying they guarantee free first class next day delivery.
I have had no email or call to say the items are out of stock or that there is a problem with the order or delivery in any way

As far as I am concerned I was not told that the items were out of stock, first of all I know when parts of an order are missing.
Then I chased up all I could but it seems I have not yet got an email back or update me where the missing items are.

Most i've had is - its out of stock should be in this week, then every few weeks - the same routine in my experience...

<br/>In terms of customer service we make every effort to ensure the phones are covered Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:30. If they are unmanned we do check all voicemails left. In terms of emails, we regularly check emails throughout the day, seven days a week.

<br/>We try our best to ensure that our quality of compatible or remanufactured cartridges is at the highest quality. Any faulty cartridges are returned back to our supplier for testing.

I have a one year old Canon Pixma IP3000 printer which has always been fit and healthy until using inks from 999inks.com. The inks kept drying in the print-head, and the yellow ones turned green. Eventually the printer wouldn't work at all. Despite desperate attempts to clean it, it just wouldn't print. I sent the inks back and got a refund for the inks (not return postage). The printer is now on the scrap heap, as a printer head costs almost as much as a new printer… Read Full Review

I bought cheap(ish) ink cartridges for my Epson printer from another Internet site and they wouldn't work at all, so it seems buying online is very risky. Then I found Lidl were selling equivalents even cheaper which worked as well as the genuine Epson ones.

<br>If you are able to refill your cartridges, then the bulk refill kits at Tescos are excellent with ink performance equal to the manufacturer's brand and you won't get any cheaper than that.
