WAS RECCOMENDED BF BY A FRIEND. AND ALTHOUGH I WAS A LITTLE JUBIOUS ABOUT THE 25% FEE, IT DID NOT MATTER. THEY WERE PROFESIONAL ABOUT DOING THERE WORK AND IT TOOK THEM JUST 11 WEEKS UNTIL I RECIEVED MY £3500.OK I PAID THEM ABOUT £1000, WHO CARES, I HAVE AN EXTRA £2500 IN MY ACCOUNT AT XMAS.. AND ITS MY PAY DAY TOMORROW... B/F DO WAT THEY SAY ON THE TIN, AND IF U DONT WANT TO PAY THE FEE DO IT YOURSELF BUT SEE WAT U END UP WITH...

I was really happy with this compnay. Yes, they take their fees but I filled in the forms and they did everything. I've now been offered over £4000 something I never thought I would get back so this is a bonus. It took 10 weeks as I cam accross my original paperwork which makes it quicker. I've recommended them to all my friends and family. Thank you

I used this company as i thought it was difficult to get ppi refund, however i got nothing until the ruling that stated companies had to refund. Then anyone could get the refund done, you didnt need anyone acting on your behalf. My first claim was settled quickly and the company took approx 500 from the 1400 i was paid!!! (for a couple of letters, they didnt need to do much as the ppi was going to be refunded anyway!). The second claim i waited for ages, eventually sent an email after receiving a letter from the original company stating if i didnt return the questionaire from FSCS they would assume i didnt want to claim. Having sent it off two months previously i was confused. The person from Brunel Franklin assured me they hadnt got it but after about 4 emails i suggested they check & surprise surprise it had been buried in a file somewhere. After this error i got a payout within 2 weeks. I told them i was not happy as they had not acted in my interests but they still want 17% plus vat for doing this (did they earn this?). Another claim they sent me a letter stating that it did not meet their criteria. Now the company are paying me this ppi back, Brunel Franklin want 30% plus VAT (which will be approx 50% of the refund) NO WAY!!! This company is a rip off, they do nothing that you cant do yourself & i wish i had known that all i needed to do was post a couple of letters. (yes it is that easy, do it yourself like MARTIN LEWIS suggests). they have not 'worked' for this, they are taking easy money & often money that they have not deserved. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Just to clarify that the court case was about the ppi complaint rules the FSA wanted to bring in. It was not about giving consumers automatic refunds. Therefore you will still have to make your complaint and fight your case with the banks, they will not automatically offer you a refund. It is beyond me how people can make such comments when they know nothing about the subject matter as shown above....!c

I have just concluded a claim for mis-sold payment protection with Brunel Franklin. It’s true that they didn’t take any fees up front , their fee being 25% of whatever I was awarded. What wasn’t made clear was it would be 25% of the entire amount of PPI I was mis-sold, not the amount I was to get back in compensation. In this instance I was mis-sold PPI of over £6,000 and was awarded just over £3,000 compensation (good will payment). Brunel Franklin took their 25% plus VAT from the £6,000 – approx. £1,800. I accept the responsibility was mine to check the agreement I was signing with them and would urge anyone looking to deal with them to scrutinise the small print and ask lots of questions. It was too good to be true - I should have known.

I have seen the reviews on most Claims compaines and they all see to be given a hard time. The banks are the ones that caused this problem not the Claims compaines. I decided to use Brunel Franklin after I saw a advert on TV. I had a loan that I have taken out a few years ago and wanted to know if I could claim. When I called them they were very helpful and seemed to know what they were doing. The claim pack came and was easy to understand. I sent the form in and let them get on with their job. I have a couple of updates but I was not hasseled by endless phonecalls and I received a payment about 4 months later. 25% + Vat seems to be the going rate and yes you could probable to it yourself but where do you start and do I have the time to do it. I was pleased with the service and it was a great supprise getting back some money that I was not expecting. I can now book a well deserved holiday and pay of some bills.

I contacted Brunel Franklin following a recommendation by a friend. My PPi claim was handled in an efficient and professional manner on all occasions. Since engaging Brunel Franklin I have recommended their services to a number of friends and colleagues, and will continue to do so in the future. The PPI claim was successful and I doubt that would have been the case if I had not appointed a professional organisation to manage this. Many of the negative reviews complain about the fees, these are clearly presented before signing the contract so should come as no surprise to anyone.

I claimed PPI back on 2 loans and credit card, they totally milked me in the end. They ended up getting over half my money (6000)that was entitled to me and then threatened to send bailiffs for 15 quid that I didn't owe them. Don't use them, they can get the money from the banks but don't pass it on, total fraudsters!!!!!!!!!!!

i would loved to speak to the person who left the last reveiw as i agree 100% & i am very likely to be taken to court for refusing to pay there bill as they did nothing for me i have had solictors sent to them but they seem to think they are above the law, they have harrased me night & day but ill be dammed if ill pay them without a fight so i need as much ammo as i can get this firm should be closed down they are total fraudsters

I totally agree I decided to contact them in January 2011 and they promised to get me the money within 8 weeks? I had no conatct from them and rang them in June, they then told me I just had to wait for bank to contact them or me but were not prepared to chase anything up. I told the person on the phone that I would deal with bank myself as I realised that all they have done is send out 1 letter and just sat and wait for a nice payout for no work, I then received a letter from my bank in August confirming they would pay me. Suprise, suprise brunel franklin got in touch asking for £1400....I am not prepared to give them a penny however they are texting and ringing me and are like loan sharks. I am in touch with consumer direct who are offering me advice, I have made two succesful claims myself for my partner and I regarding credit card ppi last year so I wish that I had never called them in January.....

Interested to speak to you as I am in exactly the same boat - where are you with this now - I am still fighting them. Have just received a letter from them after 6 months of nothing - just as I thought they had gone away!!

This company is a load of shambles, a bunch of liars that send you round in circles for months they are misleading from start to finish. There customer service is the worst i have ever encountered they cant even be bothered to send you letters or a simple phone call to let customers know there progress on there claims, i would advise new customer who want to claim PPI to use any different claims companies, or go it alone with the ombudsman as you would be more successful, there charges are horrendous (day light robbery) and i would urge people never to use this company unless you would like to be treated like numpty! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BRUNNEL FRANKLIN!!!!

half a star, is what they deserve. I have filed my claim last november of 2010 and I haven't receive any payment yet. I was told my claim was put on hold because they are waiting for the ombudsman decision. Ombudman had already made their decision january/february of this year. March 2011 HSBC sent a reply to them informing them that they are reviewing my claim and HSBC is asking for ample time to decide because of the huge backlog. Have called the office today and this is the information given to me. I was asking them since 3 months has passed and HSBC hasn't made any decision yet, what is your plan? answer is WE will just wait. Question again, how long are you willing to wait for them to decide, Answer is WE DON'T KNOW!! asked again if they have any plan or any step they will do in case HSBC will not reply for the next 3 monts. Answer is he cant answer any hypothetical question. what a load of RUBBISH. It's not a hypothetical question it's just a simple enquiry of a customer if they have an alternative plan if HSBC will not comply or delay and delay their decision..and the worst part of conversation is he was asking me, what do i want him to do?? do i want him to contact HSBC?? oh well yeah why not!! if you need to move mountains or pull some strings for the to speed up my claim then do it. it's either you just sit and wait till whenever or do something abut it. as simple as that. To future claimant don't dont ever go near them. go somewhere else. melisa glorioso newcastle

This is a very accurate description of Brunell Franklins procedures, and how they operate i have also been waiting since december 2010 for my 3 claims to be sorted? still aint recieved any payment, i have now been waiting 6 weeks for a payment that i have accepted and sent back the claim form for?? I think brunnel frankling need to get there piority straight and be up front with there customers. Brunnel frankling also do not send you any updates regarding your claim/s untill you decide to ring them and tell them!! for anyone looking to make ppi claims should stay well clear of brunnell frankling as its been nothing but hassle!!! n23k....

I had a great experience with Brunel. They claimed my PPI back from Lloyds TSB within a very short period of time and they were incredibly easy to deal with throughout the process. Great staff, great service and a big cheque at the end of it. I would thoroughly recommend this company.

I have had 4 claims with Brunel Frankclin all have been succesful for PPI. iI still have 1 outstanding which is taking time, but the credit card companies are slow. So far have claimedback about 6k. 25% + vat hurts, but would nt have got the money back on my own, USE THEM

Contacted them re: ppi claims, "no win - no fee" have lodged total of 6 claims, they won compensation on first claim within 3 weeks!! (full refund of all payments + 8% interest) their contact with me as a client has been first class and efficient. If they get the same results on the rest of my claims, I'll be well happy.

I paid nearly a thousand pounds to have 2 credit cards cleared. I was led to believe that this would have been no problem. I have now been told that all of the cases have stopped and I am not entitled to my money back. This company has cost me money as I was told to make minimum payments on the cards which sent my interest sky high. I now see they are targeting the loan market my only advice to anyone would be DON'T FALL FOR IT. It is just a con. I obviously cannot afford this money otherwise I would not have approached them in the first place. I AM NOW IN A WORSE FINANCIAL POSITION THAN I WAS BEFORE. These companies should be stopped they are just praying on people who are in debt. I was basically lied to

Don't touch with a barge pole. I had a PPi claim which they sat on for over 2 months before doing anything. They refused to return my calls, even the MD. I ended up doing most of my own work and what work they did do was a waste of time. Never waste your time with these jokers

Paid £250 in a no win no fee deal to have one credit card wiped. I was told there was 95% chance of winning. I asked several times if I would have all money refunded should they fail, They assured me I would. My case was passed on to another solocitor and months went by unitl a letter arrived telling me there was very little chance of success. No chance of a refund though but they offered me a voucher to take another credit card company to court. I feel conned and I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Anyone thinking of doing this please think again, the rules with these credit cards and the courts have changed and yet this company still believes they can win.

i had 2 claims with them which took 1 yr to establish that they could not see them through to the end even although the documents were unenforceable ( i know this as i have since had success with them myself). They rely on the lender not producing anything in the way of paperwork....they are not interested if enforceable or not. a complete waste of time and money

A lengthy process and there was little communication from BF and I had completely forgotten about it until letter, eventually got over £5K on PPI on loans of the years, 25% + vat does seem quite a lot but would I have bothered myself doubtful, most probably given up at first hurdle, so well done just keep us informed.

I contacted Brunel Franklin regarding getting my credit cards wiped, if I had had them before 2007, I paid them £490 to clear 2 cards, and it all sounded so good, after a few months they contacted me to tell me they could not help with the first card and refunded me £150. The next one sounded nailed on to be cleared even the debt collectors stoped bothering me and this has gone on for months and months, now I get a letter exactly the same as the first saying they cant help me, I am not sure how much they will be refunding me but it wont be over £150.
So thats £190 they have had off me for nothing, my point is I put my friend in touch with them too and guess what excatly the same, so how many more people have paid for this service and ended up worse off???
