“Disappointed,very upset ,very angry and a waste of money”

My wife and I have just returned from the hotel Navarria Blue Hotel in Limassol Cyprus,we spent 2 weeks there,not at all happy,It wasn’t the same hotel we looked at on the internet,It wasn’t clean,the carpets were stained,the doors of the wardrobes were dirty and the sliding door to the bathroom was also dirty,I myself had to repair to toilet seat three times,the curtains were dirty and hanging off,The only clean thing was the bedding,some of the staff were not polite,they all need to be retrained in customer service,The food was not very good no variety the same every day,The pool area was nice the gardens were nice, late at night around the pool outsiders would come around the pool lighting Barbecues make it very dangerous an d dirty!!,This hotel is very very tired it needs a complete refurbishment,Needless to say we will not be returning to Cyprus again If we had known about this hotel we would not have booked.

“Disappointing accommodation at Taxiarchis, Symi”

Olympic holidays have proved to be good but for our holiday in Symi this year. It was a return visit from the last year, but the accommodation at the apartments was very poor this year. We booked early, but on arriving found there was no apartment for us. Waited most of the morning because couple of men had to move out, apartment was then cleaned. Eventually we were given the apartment, but found it totally unsatisfactory. The cleanliness was impeccable but the accommodation was inadequate;bed was on mezzanine floor, reached by very steep stairs. There was 2 bedside cabinets, but we didn't use because it was so dark and claustrophobic. We kept all clothes downstairs and only went up to sleep. I cannot fault Olympic holidays they have always been helpful and pickups organised but my complaint was supposedly being dealt with Resolver but after an apology stating they were very busy l have heard no more. I am concerned that our holiday was spoilt, it is the only time we've look forward to our holiday and me particularly wanted to return home.

“Customer Service is rubbish”

Olympic Holidays do not treat customers with any respect or empathy. They took many months to respond to my complaint and constantly reiterated their position legally with no idea how to treat loyal customers with valid concerns regarding excess baggage charges and changes to flight times. They appear to have sub-contracted most parts of the holiday and will not take any responsibility for correcting errors. They mislaid an initial complaint letter addressed to the chief executive, claimed to have sent a reply which did not arrive and denied receiving emails sent to the address on their website. They will not be receiving any more of my money.

“never ever again”

Went to kormaris studios in crete greece August for 2 weeks booked through Thomas Cook we cannot believe that these holidays are advertised in there brocher the place we stayed was discussing the beds had blood wee all over the mattresses the slats were broken there was roaches everywhere and mice our shower couldn't be hooked up the sinew was filthy the bar stayed open all hours as long as you spent money keeping us awake until 3 what a terrible place to stay the pool was filthy under the beds had 10 inches of human skin a very disappointing holiday don't book with olympic they are a joke!!!!!!!

“Left without a holiday 5 weeks before we were due to...”

Terrible customer service from Olympic Holidays. Strongly recommend using a proper tour operator. Our 2 week August holiday was booked in January with good daytime flights, and all appeared to be fine until 5 weeks before our departure date • It is only by chance that I noticed on their website that our flights had changed from daytime to overnight - no one had contacted me • When I called Customer Services, they could not provide an explanation as to why the flight times changed so substantially • When I made it clear that I could not accept the new night flight times due to the age of our children, they just cancelled the holiday. No apology. No one looked into any alternative flights with another airline (they use EasyJet and other carriers to other destinations). No one offered any help with finding a replacement holiday to a different destination with Olympic Holidays • I had to wait over a week to receive a refund of what I had paid, preventing me from booking a replacement holiday with another company. Having no choice but to arrange a replacement holiday less than 5 weeks before departure has involved time and stress for me and my family, plus costs we will incur rearranging airport parking, travel insurance and car hire. This is all as a direct result of Olympic Holidays making a very late change to our holiday, and made substantially worse by completely mishandling it through poor customer service. I emailed their customer service email address to make a formal complaint but a week later have been fobbed off with a set of standard paragraphs in response, hence going public with this review. So, don't bother posting your standard 'please email customer services with your booking reference so that we can investigate' reply. I took the time to email specific concerns and asked for a written response from someone senior at Olympic regarding our treatment, but I didn't receive one. Perhaps your time would be better spent feeding back what your customers are saying on this website and other review sites.

“our holiday”

my dad and myself stayed at the the venus beach hotel it was very clean and the weather was fantastic.the staff were helpful.the rooms were comfortable and cleaned regularly although the tv channels were rubbish as there was only one english channel which was the news.and i do think there should be tea and coffee making facilities available in the rooms.the pool area and the surrounding area was really nice.a few more sunshades available would be good.the outside area such as the shops and bars were very accessible and the buses were very useful for getting about to local places and ran on time.only if it was a good place to stay and that it was clean which can be done by reading the reviews beforehand and to find out if the food available is of a good standard and varied choices.i did find the food on the evening meal was a bit repetative but the breakfast was very varied .

“THIRTY NINE HOUR DELAY!.....YES THIRTY NINE”

My wife, three year old son and myself booked our Corfu holiday through Olympic Holidays. Our flight was originally supposed to be with Germania Air but was altered to Small Planet a month or so before we were due to go. To cut a very, very long story short. We were delayed for over 39 (thirty nine) hours. We were shunted about, given zero information by SP or Olympic and generally treated like cattle. On our flight there were numerous small children (all very well behaved), disabled and elderly people who were all left upset and confused. When we eventually got to Corfu two days later we heard nothing from our rep until the penultimate day. The response from the airline and Olympic has been nothing short of disgraceful and at times sarcastic. Small Planet seem to have regular delays, and not small ones either. Eight, ten or fourteen hours seem quite common. Why Olympic persist with them can only be down to the fact that they are cheap. Olympic told us to seek compensation with the airline....the airline that THEY put us on. So far, we have not had a penny. The MD at Olympic has still not replied to my email from 11 September. Make your own minds up.

“Dont believe what you read in their brochure”

We recently booked a holiday to Rhodes with Olympic and noticed in the brochure that we could choose our airline seats for a charge of £5 each way however when we tried to the price had doubled. BEWARE ! The meeting with resort reps was not very informative and we found the cost of Olympic excursions was more than double the price you could book locally so again BEWARE !! the brochure and hotel advertised evening entertainment but this was non existent apart from karaoke and snooker. Again misleading in their brochure, Finally we requested a high floor quiet room with sea view if possible however Olympic holidays did not pass this request to the hotel so they were unaware. Disappointed with Olympic because it was not a cheap holiday it was a five star hotel resort but we did not get value for money.

“Poor customer care”

We returned from a holiday in Kos May this year,new booked the holiday and a few weeks before flying we were told the flight had changed, which meant we lost a day, when you are only going for a week this is a lot. I wish we had read more review on Olympic holidays, as plenty of other people have had the same problem and the same patronising, non committal responses. We were so late getting to the hotel, we were kept waiting 45 minutes before we got our key and not even offered a drink, when you have travelled you just want a showere, drink, eat and bed. We were to,d the restaurant had food............some left over salad from 5 hours ago, quite frankly you wouldn't have fed it to an animal. You effectively miss out on a day when they change your flight and a meal. We stayed at the Sentido Carda Beach, the lift was not working for the whole week we were there, it was warm and very steep hill in the heat was quite exhausting at times, not somewhere I would recommend unless you are young and fit and don't mind sweating every time you want to go to your room. The worrying thing is that we have written two letters to Olympic holidays and had two letters back, quite franking fobbing us off with excuses. Clearly once they have your money and you have had your holiday they couldn't give a damn. I would NEVER use the company again, We have travelled considerable over the years like many others, but I have never had to write and complain before. Before booking with Olympic read all you can about them, go for a more professional and well known company, don't use Olympic unless you want your holiday flights changed, you want to miss out on a day, and to top it all poor excuses in the way of a response to your complaint.

“Terrible appalling unhelpful”

Stupidly planned a last minute trip through a travel agent with this company to Elounda Crete.As we live in Northern Ireland and the package deal was from Manchester to Crete we booked our own connection flights home to Belfast leaving plenty of time to allow for a reasonable delay..We Boarded our plane (small planet) flight S5123 12/7/16 which was completely out of control with the majority of the passengers being teenager/20's who were malia bound...the two young fellas who were our flight crew were acting like they were on holidays with them serving repeated drinks even letting them use the front of the plane as a bar which made it very difficult for myself and my 11yr old son use the toilet as we were near the front of the plane and was very intimidating,these two staff were not in control of the plane and their behavior totally unprofessional taking into consideration my friend and I and our two children had been travelling over 24hrs from Northern Ireland to Herkalion we were exhausted! After baggage reclaim we made our way to the "smiley doors" meet and greet by Olympic we were keen to be given our coach number,what were greeted with was far from acceptable when my friend asked which direction our coach was in he lifted up his arm swung his elbow in her face and shouted yoooooooo and greeted the large group of young fellas behind us....he was so dismissive after several attempts I then approached another rep across the road and he took time to explain our coach number and was very helpful, we boarded our 2 hr coach journey to Kavos bay Elounda which was noisy as it was packed with young ones going to malia.On arrival at Kavos bay at around 4ish am we were assured by our rep that Kavos had 24hr reception and that we would be greeted on arrival,not true...there was no body was complete darkness and we had to run around the complex trying to find our num 5 room which we could find every other number except ours after about 30 minutes we found our room which was situated out of sight and had keys in the door,may I add it was no fault of Kavos bay as they do not run 24hr reception its 8am/8pm!Fast forward closer the end of our stay which Kavos was beautiful and lovely kind staff..one of the Olympic staff who was a rep at kavos was very helpful great girl and helped us write a report of our experience thus far and a complaint about the small planet flight and the smiley doors incident.We thought this was our only bad experience of our holiday and got packed to start our long journey home only to realise we had to check out of our room at 12noon and our coach wasn't picking us up until! 10pm!!!A 10 hr wait!...Our coach picked us up that night really friendly driver just before we reached the airport the rep made an announcement to say our small planet flight was delayed by 3/4hrs WHAT! our connection flight to Belfast was 4 12 hrs after we were supposed to land we were distraught as we had budgeted for this holiday and had NO spare funds to pay for brand new flights home...we made the rep on our coach aware of this and she assured us that when she knew what was happening they would do everything they could to help us and that we wouldn't be left stranded again when I expressed our concerns to a male rep he was very bad mannered made a face at me and walked off (they should be sacked)...after a long wait on the floor we were then told the plane was cancelled and we'd be put into a hotel for the night with food and drink provided for...we ran and got on one of the coaches not knowing where we were going my 11yr old son found this very distressing and was incredibly upset he was the youngest there were no other children except my friends 13yr old daughter,we eventually were given a hotel name and dropped off literally streets away we just ran after the others as we'd no clue where we were in the darkness... When we arrived at the hotel my son was exhausted and the younger lot had all shoved front to get a room but I pushed my way front as my son needed to get sleep and in Fairness most were sympathetic and helped us including a mother and her older son plus a very outspoken man who spoke up for the whole group as the hotel wouldn't provide us with even a drink of water nothing until the morning the majority only had enough cash for airport for a soft drink and snack myself included had only 5 euro plus some sterling for plane...So we got our heads down for very little sleep as the Olympic rep was meant to arrive at 9am we got up waited NO SHOW were told 11am we waited NO SHOW not one rep arrived EVER AT ALL the poor receptionist had to deliver any information!Later on in the day the the cowardly Olympic company sent a letter to hotel saying another flight was arranged for 4.15am the next morning and that they were sorry for any upset not much help when we'd be stuck in Manchester as we'd no flight back to belfast!We were picked up at 1.30am checked in got flight S5124 21/7/16 which the staff were extremely rude couldn't believe how they were speaking to us I even had my foot trampled on very confrontational one even said that it wasn't for him staying on to do another shift that we would not even had got home the absolute cheek I will personally be reporting everyone mentioned in this review!And the best part is if we wanted to fly with them again we'd be given £30 off,just insulting!!When we got off the flight at 7am we waited 2 hrs for our bags as no one knew where our bags were,how could our bags be lost when we'd just got off the flight completely ridiculous!!!!At Manchester I'd no idea how my son and I were getting home as Olympic staff made it clear they wouldn't help us we were just dumped in Manchester, being desperate i had to ring my mum and she had to pay £320 for my son and I to get home as it was last minute the flights were more than 10 times expensive plus the money I'd lost on the other flights we'd missed!Needless to say we are all completely exhausted and I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE I was completely appalled at how two mother's with children on their could be treated!!!

lovely holiday in Alikes in Argyrios studios ,owner looked after us excellently always there if needed . Lovely resort family orientated very safe beaches. We regularly used Apollo restaurant and they looked after us food excellent ,Anatolikas tavern also worth a visit. Best ever Welcome Party, by local lady Rep. [in 24yrs]. Had a wonderful time ,highly recommended.

“16 hour wait”

Usual marvellous holiday at Zante Star Appartments Told by Olympic to arrange late check out myself upon arrival. Hotel could not accommodate me. Had to check out ant Noon and wait almost 16 hours for pick up at 3.30 the next morning!!. Then usual terrible Thomas Cook flight in one of their old jalopies with dirty seats and surrounded by drunks. No pre arranged seating possible on these flights. Zante Star is a great Hotel but Olympic should help their customers- not abandon them. Also can't they do better that Thomas Cook Airways.!!

Not sure what else I can say.!! I always try to use Olympic and am in fact going back to Zante Star with you at the end of September. Not on one of Thomas Cook's flights full of drunks though and with flight times which do not involve 16 hours without a room, which you specifically told
me I could sort out at the destination- something you also told me you could not do for me beforehand. Also, I could not pre book seats with Thomas Cook. Will continue to visit Zante Star but will be more careful in future and have inside been advised by friends to take the problems further.

“Flight to Kypros”

Excellent service on recent flight to Cyprus, Small Planet crew were caring, friendly and approachable. They couldn't do enough for you, smiling faces on both legs of journey led to an overall lovely experience. We did encounter considerable turbulence due to recent bad weather in Europe, but this was handled well and only served to show the professional approach of crew. This time we did not stay in resort but we did last time we travelled to Cyprus with Olympic and the rep had been great. I did observe very pleasant actions from resort reps at check in on our return.

“delivered to dock for a ferry that did not exist”

6 holidaymakers of which 5 are pensioners were delivered to a very small dock on Rhodes to pick up a ferry to Tilos. We were informed by the captain of a day trip boat that there had not been a ferry from that dock at all in 2015.Two phone calls to the Olympic office eventually arranged taxis to an hotel. There we were handed a letter stating there would be a ferry the following day from the port of Rhodes. The hotel had no accommodation vouchers so after more phone calls a very reluctant local Olympic manager arrived to sort things. He like Olympic UK did not try to apologise nor offer any form of compensation. A complaint form was completed and letters to Olympic sent, still no full apology. Olympic and local staff still do not acknowledge that the ferry did not exist stating due to weather conditions ferries do some times cancel. No the ferry did not exist! Olympic offered a £60 off a future holiday, however there is no way we would ever use that company again. Those who do would be well advised to check on line if flights and transfer ferries actually exist. Be warned.

“Crete Bali hotel & village”

I booked a holiday through hays travel told them I haqd disabalties with walking.I was shocked when I got to the hotel where my room was in the village room 801 and the amoumt of steps there to sea level 250 meters after a few days they move to the hotel but still a lot of steps on google earty it looks different the food had no covers on it no vappers to kill flies whitch landed on the food IT IS NOT A PLACE FOR ELDERLY DISABLED OR PEOPLE WITH YOUNG CHILDREN WITH PUSH CHAIRS

“Never again”

We booked our holiday through Olympic holidays to Mykonos. The holiday and hotel were fantastic, Olympic holidays were a total rip off. We booked our holiday and decided to upgrade and have the gold package for £160. This gave us the use of the executive lounge, a bottle of sparkling wine, a basket of fruit and private transfers to and from the airport. We got to the airport with more than 3 hours to spare to use the executive lounge,we got through the nightmare of a check in with just 30 mins to spare and our flight was being called so no time to use the lounge. On arrival at Mykonos airport we found our private transfer and arrived at the hotel. On arrival at the hotel the manager informed us that the hotel provide free private transfer and also that Olympic holidays are aware of this. After 2 days at the hotel we mentioned to the manager that Olympic holidays are suppose to give us fruit and sparkling wine, they had no details of this so didn't receive either, so why did we pay £160. We emailed Olympic holidays about this on our return only to be told we should get to the airport earlier,should have chased up or fruit and wine, and no reply to fact the hotel provided free transfers. Thanks Olympic holidays we feel we have spent £160 on a taxi ride that took just 8mins. We go on holiday 3 times a year with various companies but have got to say we have never received such appalling service and such an unhelpful reply to e.mail.We will make sure all our friends are aware and also left a review on tripadvisor

“PASSENGER SAFETY”

We traveled with Olympic 8/09/15 and we were collected by their coach from our hotel in Aiya Napa on route to Larnaca as we got on to the motorway the driver decided to have a Mobile Phone conversation endangering the whole bus full of Adults and Children the so called rep sat at the front and said nothing disgusting behavior which potentially could have killed us all.

“We have decided we would never book our flights...”

We have decided we would never book our flights through Olympic Holidays ever again, we booked our holiday in March 2015 , we knew the hotel we wanted and we knew the times of flights we DID NOT wan, we left the travel agents very happy, we had the hotel we liked the flight times were good, we even booked & paid the hotel for the night our flight to avoid us having to travel early in the morning on the strength of this we also booked and paid our evening meal and breakfast. We informed a month or so later our flight times had changed and we would be leaving 2 hours and 15 minutes later than we had booked, now I know this doesn't sound too bad but to us we were very unhappy as it meant that we would now not arrive to our destination until 2100 hour, this also meant we hadn't needed to book a hotel to spend the night in before our flight or the dinner or the breakfast, we did complain to the travel agency and they compensated us £50 in cash we thought was very good of them. However our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive at our destination until 2345 hours. During our holiday we spoke to other travelers who also had the same story as our and we also discovered that the air line which Olympic Holidays used for the last 3 x Sundays (I think this particular airline which no one had ever heard of only few to the island on Sundays) their flights were delayed. needless to say our homeward bound flight was delayed by by 2 hours and we did not arrive to our home in Chesham until 0400 hours. Not the times we planned, it was also believed by any people travelling on this flight w were lied to by the pilot who apologized for the delay and blamed it on the air traffic control, but smart people used their smart phones to discover that no other flights were delayed leaving from the same London airport. We had to use an extra day of our holidays and as I am in between permanent employment and working for an agency I lost wages! In our opinion we think Olympic Holidays changed their air line to a different airline to save money if we are correct. Never again Oympic Airways next time we travel it will be independently and we will book out flights with the air line direct,we appreciate flights do get delayed but to change airlines just to save money and ruin peoples holiday travel this is digusting

“Un truths”

we were told it was an all inclusive it was most definately NOT it was full board, we could have gone to loads of places for the price. Food was set times no snacks in between even to buy! The hotel was fine in rhodes, but we paid for all inclusive, we did not get that. It said all inclusive in the brochure
