I purchased a spin bike from this company which developed a problem in January with the resistance brake after just a year, no help at all, after months of emails & me sending videos of fault & being sent parts to repair myself, which have not worked!!! I have been given a repair company who charge £96 for a visit & another £52 for the return visit. THIS COMAPNY DO NOT ASSIST YOU WHEN THERES A PROBLEM

“Terrible service equipment does not work ”

Terrible customer service after product broke after 2 months I ordered an air bike - Schwinn AD2i From Fitness Superstore. It was delivered in late November. I was pleased with it initially but on the 8th Feb when I was riding it the pedal mechanism completely went and on closer inspection I saw that it had completely sheered off. In an email on the 8th Feb I asked if it could be collected and that I be Sent another. As I only had the bike for 2 months and for £500 I would have expected it to last a lot longer. I then filled out a form detailing the fault and sent Photos. I said I would like replacement or repair. Since then I have been ignored. I have phoned - no one answers. I have emailed and only receive automated responses. I even tried their “live” Chat And despite sending numerous messages (all polite) no one answered. Now I appreciate that we are in an unprecedented period of Covid but that should not prevent contact by electronic means. I spent £500 on a product, it’s not working and the Company are totally ignoring me.

“Avoid at all costs ”

avoid at all costs. If something goes wrong with their products (and it will) they don't want to know. They will fob you off to the manufacturer who ask you to contact fitness superstore. Hundreds of pounds down the drain and a broken treadmill.

“Terrible service - avoid ”

Bike arrived 10 days ago. Paid in full. Parts missing or broken. 2 further deliveries and still parts missing or broken. Constantly having to email them to get a response. Am about to report them to Trading Standards and get my money back via my credit card. Go elsewhere.

“Where's My Stuff?”

I ordered a £900 fitness bike at the beginning of Mar. Delivered 2 weeks later. Set-up the same day and the monitor didn't work. Fitness Superstore doesn't support this particular model, so spent time liaising with the company that does. After almost 2 months, no replacement part can be found. Wait 2 weeks for bike to be picked up, another 2 weeks for Fitness Superstore to be refunded. During this time I had been liaising with a store manager, who informed me he had put a replacement bike back for me to send once the refund had been received. Got an e-mail informing me that the replacement bike would be sent and then .......... nothing. The courier company updated their records to say that the Supplier had not sent the order. Fitness Superstore eventually (after another 2/3 weeks) acknowledged my e-mails and said they would investigate this as a priority. Another 2 weeks and no response to e-mails and I'm still waiting. So, 4 months after ordering an exercise bike and being £900 down, I still have nothing to show for it and no idea when I will receive the goods I ordered at the beginning of Mar. Customer service is virtually non-existent and I have factored in the exceptional circumstances that all businesses are facing at present. I have to say that Fitness Superstore are shooting themselves in the foot at present, as the one thing they could be great at, with low stock levels, is customer service, but they have failed dismally to keep me informed, or even respond in a timely manner to my e-mails. If you ring the number on their website you get put through to a salesperson, who say they will pass your details on, but nothing happens. If you do buy anything from this company and you get what you want first time, I applaud you, but if you don't get something that works, or the wrong item, be prepared to have a long wait to either get your money back, a replacement item, or even acknowledgement of any messages you send.

“Stay away”

This company is a joke. Once they've got your money you are in the lap of the gods. If it works, great. If not you'll get to deal with what they call aftercare where they will cling on to your money for all they are worth. You can be spoken to in a condescending manner by one guy from Leeds or watch another guy in Norwich ineptly try to understand why it is that you want your money back. A woman will whine at you that it's really not her fault but the piece de la resistance is when a third guy says he's not like the others (!) and will go that extra mile for you but ultimately do nothing. They'll promise you a collection, threatening you by letter of £50 fine if you're not in but not actually give you a date or time. When you ask for one the woman will whine at you one more time, a guy will read you the email you already have then claim he can fix it himself over the phone!! You won't get to speak with the third guy, as presumably that extra mile he was going to was one mile away from any accountability. Do yourself a favour and just go somewhere else.

I totally agree. I've been waiting 4 months for a working exercise bike as the first one didn't work, they don't respond to e-mails and anyone you get on the phone promise the world but do nothing. Avoid at all costs.

“item undelivered - no refund given”

Having ordered two items over two months ago, I eventually received one but not the other (more expensive) item. The courier service had marked both as being "delivered". I contacted Bodypower Sports and the courier service (despite it being down to Bodypower Sports to resolve the issue) and have since been passed from pillar to post regarding a refund, having to wait weeks for a response...or having to eventually chase a response myself. I contacted them over a month ago to let them know the item had not been delivered and I am still waiting for a refund or some sort of resolution. I was told this had been "escalated as a matter of urgency" 10 days ago, without any other contact since. Awful service with no solution in sight. I would NOT use this company.

“Still Waiting !!”

Contacted Fitness Superstore in February to report an issue (way before coronavirus issues). Thye eventually coolected my treadmill and I am stil waiting for them to sort a replacement as per my warranty. Really poor service. I have emailed and called several times.

“worst after care and customer service EVER”

Worst customer service ever experienced. Completed the online form on 4 Feb to request a few parts (bolts and screws that had become threaded after only one month use). They answered my first email and never responded again. After 2 weeks of waiting, I tried to ring them. They do not answer the phone. I then searched their company website to find other phone numbers - tried three before anyone answered - but they were unable to transfer me to the correct department. Once I finally got to the services department - they told me that I had to provide further evidence of the parts required. I had asked for one screw, two bolts, two small plastic rings..... they argued over a few pence worth of parts. I then sent photos and videos and heard NOTHING again. I've now had to buy bolts and try and fix the bike myself. I'm never using them again and I really wouldn't recommend them at all.

dear dear dear, appalling service once they have your money. Called to report undelivered goods and the woman who answered thought she was funny with her stereotypical pram head secretary voice, she's probably being paid the minimum wage or her services so she has to keep herself amused.....

“Great piece of equipment. Worst ever buying experience”

Great Gym But Worst Buying Experience Ever Great kit, That's why I bought it. Exceptionally bad buying experience. Order was supposed to be delivered by 2 men. Only the driver turned up. My builders had to carry the boxes into the house/room. Whilst helping the builders the driver also knocked/damaged the wall. The delivery came around 1.5hrs after the 2hr delivery slot. Half my day was wasted then I had to go for work. My wife who is a heart patient had to deal with the delivery. The discount code was very misleading saying it would expire next morning which made me make the purchase a few days before I needed it. The next morning the discount had gone from 7%-9%. I got an unprofessional response from customer service when I asked for the additional 2% discount and since then subsequent correspondence has been ignored. Plz try buying from other sellers if you can. Fitness Superstore replied to a review elsewhere but won't contact me to put things right.

“Awful Customer Service”

Had a couple of bad experiences with this company. Enquired about some ex display items, I felt hounded to leave a deposit which I was assured was fully refundable if I changed my mind, I decided the items wouldn't be suitable and they made me 'jump through hoops' to get the deposit back. Also placed another order at midnight on a Friday night, called first thing the next morning to adjust the order to be informed it had already been shipped despite me receiving no order confirmation from them and was told I would have to wait a week or so to get a refund, I personally would not trust this company and wouldn't use again, I felt that their customer services are extremely rude and unhelpful.

“BEWARE BEFORE PURCHASE/INSTILLATION”

I had purchased a treadmill from this company and paid extra for their instillation service. Unfortunately the workers damaged my wooden flooring along the entire length of my ground floor. I reported this as soon as I could (within 24 hrs of instillation) as I had a relative there for collection. The company are denying fault as they are saying I didn't report it immediately on instillation. I am now having to go to a small claims court to try and get the money for my repairs. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! The damage they caused more than the cost of my items! The company are now even trying to silence my review on certain websites and are lying by saying that I had ignored their correspondence back! They denied all responsibility and are still denying it!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL-UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY WITH POOR MORALS

I bought a treadmill from them using finance, August it was delivered and by September the it stopped working. I contacted fitness superstore who initially responded by asking me to provide them with more information about the issue, I advised them it was just displaying an FF on the display. A few days later they then had someone contact me who advised they would send me a new console as that was the issue, I then went on to advise they need to send an engineer to install this as I paid someone to put this together and I was not willing to pay someone again so soon after I had received this as to me this was just unacceptable, they then agreed to also send an engineer and this would take up to 5 days. It has now been 4 weeks and I have yet to receive anything I was told. No console nothing.I have contacted them several times all to be ignored, no response nothing, just met with silence. I have now cancelled the finance payments and have contacted the Financial Ombudsmen as I refuse to pay for something that was clearly defective when it was sent to me. FI advised they are looking into it.

I ordered 3 resistance bands and a yoga matt this summer. Half my order was missing, when I phoned them up, the swat on the phone implied I was lying, I gave him my contact details which he never updated. I paid through paypal who asked me to resolve the issue with the vendor, I still out of pocked and the retailer's customer service stinks! A must to avoid. Go to a better shop TXmaxx would have been better!

I bought this treadmill off fitness superstore a few years ago and it's just stopped working on me so I phoned them and told them that my treadmill has broken down its should of been covered by the warranty provided by them As soon as I told them it made a strong burning smell and stopped working they started to act funny asking me all sorts of questions The treadmill came with the silicon to lubricate the belt which I did a few times and I told them on the phone call and via email They turned around and send your not covered because we didn't send and silicon with the treadmill and you must of used something that you shouldn't have to lubricate the belt that's why it's broken down They silicon can in a package with instructions on how to lubricate the belt Plus it's not the first time used silicon to lubricate treadmill I've had treadmill for years I paid £1200 for this treadmill So avoid them once they've had your money the service is disgraceful now they want £950 to repair the treadmill what a joke Avoid these idiots

“Non-existent customer service”

Placed an order on a Friday for Saturday delivery, for which I paid a significant amount extra. No acknowledgement, no delivery, despite several emails and also trying to contact them directly via paypal. Nothing. The email they supply for paypal customers is 'unmanned' - which means they don't read the messages or reply.... ! It's possible something went wrong somewhere in the process, but I wouldn't know because I've received no response from them. At this point I'd just like a refund. Avoid like the plague! Just to say I also posted another review about this order - they objected to the review fast as lightning and it's been taken down temporarily whilst I prove I made the purchase to the review site, which I'm in the process of doing - but 4 days later I personally still haven't received a response to any of my emails or messages! So Fitness Superstore, instead of spending all your time and effort trying to remove negative reviews, why not address the underlying issues - - put a 'manned' email on your paypal account as a start, then actually reply to customer enquiries. Simples really!

“Very poor aftercare service”

When I ordered the rower after a day I changed my mind and wanted to go for another one which was actually more expensive. They would not allow it and kept saying all payments were final with no change allowed! Now the rower has developed some rust and under the warranty it should be covered but I have been told as it could be because of the sweat they will not replace the parts!!? Isn't a rower designed to be used under such conditions? What an appalling excuse. I will never buy anything from this company, nobody wants to deal with this kind of poor customer service.

On the plus side, when I ordered the £799 BH Fitness Spada Dual Indoor Cycle from Fitness Superstore it arrived within a few days, was easy to assemble and gave me a whole week of quiet, smooth and impressive performance… By day nine it sounded like a flock of canaries being tortured to death. The following day it failed altogether, while being used by my 50kg daughter. The drive train had ceased its purpose and the cacophonous canaries were replaced by the sound of grinding metal. Since that event two weeks ago the customer service department at Fitness Superstore have ignored five e-mails and taken two phone calls, but the bike still sits there, 56kg of scrap metal. No replacement and no refund on a £799 piece of equipment that failed after ten days of light use. I can see myself taking these charlatans to court, but in the meantime I suggest that you save yourself all the hassle that I’m facing and avoid doing business with Fitness Superstore. They are happy to take your money but it appears that their commitment to customer service ends there.

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”

Goods arrived faulty. The shop where I purchased it told me my contract is with the manufacturer not the shop. The manufacturer is in America. Cost me £500 and I am still waiting for the faulty machine to be picked up and no refund yet. Sale of goods act States I have contract with the shop not the manufacturer. The managing director has not answered my emails Shop assistant is not interested. He talks a good job but is not sorting out my refund This machine is huge and is blocking my house I have waited over 4 weeks for this to be sorted out I did not buy online I visitef their chelmsford shop They don't tell you that you are dealing with a company in America
