My outbound flight was from Singapore to Oslo via Doha. The transfer at Doha was a frantic rush because the flight from Singapore was delayed. I had to board a bus to get to the terminal, go through security screening and run across the terminal to the boarding gate to catch another bus for the connecting flight. There were no staff holding up signs to direct passengers to the correct boarding gate for my connecting flight to Oslo. As I was flying with the same airline for both legs of the trip, I expected better coordination and support for transfer passengers. The arrival and departure gates should have been much closer together, especially as they knew that the arriving flight had been delayed. Qatar Airways failed to transfer my check-in luggage at Doha. I arrived in Oslo at about 1.30pm and reported that my luggage was missing. The ground handling (SAS) representative told me that my luggage was still in Doha and that it would arrive the next day. It did not arrive the next day. I tried calling their representative at the airport, but I could not reach them. As I was busy attending meetings, a friend called on my behalf and was told that their luggage representative would call me to update me about my luggage. Noone from Qatar Airways or SAS ever called me, even though they have details of my hotel and personal phone number. I never received any notification about when my luggage would be delivered. Eventually, my luggage was delivered to my hotel 55hrs after I arrived in Oslo. I have written repeated emails to the airline to ask how I can claim compensation, but each time I only received a reply saying that the matter is being handled by their airport counterparts and to wait for their reply. Their website does not provide any information on how to claim compensation. The working hours of the luggage handling counter at the airport are 10am to 4pm on weekdays and 10am to 2pm on weekends. Clearly, their level of customer service is far below 5-star standard that they claim for their airline.

Disgusting customer service. Delayed our flight for 4 hours without any compensations and no reasons. Can't recommend them to anyone. Even lowcosters like Wizzair got better service with much lower prices.

QATAR AIRWAYS SCHEDULES "NORMAL" BEWARE!! If you are considering flying with Qatar Airways, please read my experience below. I booked my tickets many months ago. There was then, enough time to comfortably make the connections both outbound and inbound . Whilst Qatar Airways are still maintaining that everything is running normally, the truth is that things are far from normal. Qatar are working to a schedule which is NOT the ticketed one (see Actual times/Flightaware) and have failed to inform passengers of this. It does make their timeliness statistics look OK though, so who cares about the passengers. Based on actuals, I would have missed my connecting flights on 85% of the days since 6/6/17. Qatar Airways and their agents are still advertising and selling these flights at the ticketed times. I have asked them to book me on flights which allow me to make the connections and they refuse unless I pay £140 per passenger/change, even though they accept that I am correct and that I will most likely be stranded in Nairobi for many hours through no fault of my own, even though it could easily be remedied by them. I did get a written statement :- "that if the situation continues, then I would be booked on another flight free of charge" - they have since reneged on that, claiming that those connections are "valid". (and even the airline is making no attempt to stick to them) Ticketed New Scheduled (see flightaware) I guess that it is not only the Manchester - Mombasa route affected by this (for want of a better word) dishonesty. If you are going to book with Qatar, you would be well advised to check the "real" situation and not their ticketed one.

Baggage weight checks done two times! Employees do not trust their colleagues. Food, no options, when chicken ran out, forced to eat beef. No beer selection, forced to drink Heineken, NO wine at all due to ramadhan. Artificial sweeteners not available immediately. Flight was old 777 from IAH to DOH, dirty, toilets were very dirty, aircraft was too old dusty, could not recline some seats, terrible service, the staff do not really smile, they do not wake up sleeping customers when food arrived. The ground staff was horrible especially they targeted for pat down check near the gate only for the bachelors under suspicions, families with children were not screened!!! Overall worst experience for us especially after traveling for 25 years in other airlines, and the very first time with Qatar airlines... They better leave service industry and so something else...

i was sitting in business class and for a few hours flight wanted some cake and coffee. I was told no cakes were available so i ordered ice-cream but they had to get it from first class, after waiting one hour, i was told no more ice-cream available. i settled for chocolates, they gave me a long bar not fit for economy class, let alone business class and it tasted horrible, i think it was valrhona. My company insists on QA so next time, I am taking my own food with me on board.

New A 380 but poorly maintained ORYX system and screen didn't work on LHR to Doha leg also on A321 from Doha to Goa both our screens didn't work. Sat behind large lady who broke the seat on the A380................. Food lacklustre and they are stingy with the drinks.............not as good as Jet Airways who I will be using in future as Mumbai T2 now open and being used by International and Domestic routes. Had to rush for connecting flight at Doha on return leg. Screaming and kicking kid behind..........why can't they put kids elsewhere together?

We had an awful experience with this airline. For a supposedly 5* Airplane company it was atrocious. The cabin crew were ignorant and an as a white English person felt like a 2nd class citizen and the crew were verging on being racist. The food was terrible and the seats were very uncomfortable. Give me a Dreamliner plane any day. If it can be helped I will not use Quatar again. There was nothing to like about the flight at all just couldn't wait to get off.

Their plane was broken. Fair enough, it happens. But Qatar Airways spent 6 hours after the scheduled departure time telling us that we'd be boarding soon. I rescheduled work commitments on the basis of their promised departure time. They then cancelled, and made us queue for over 3 hours for baggage, coaches and hotel. We got to hotel room at about midnight and were told to be at reception for collection at 7:30 for flight at 10:30. But no-one there at 7:30; instead a message (from the hotel staff) that we'd be collected at 10:00. I rescheduled my work commitments again. But nothing at 10:00 - instead a message that they'd update us at 14:30. The Qatar Airways staff were dismissive, disinterested or just plain abusive throughout. It was all incredibly badly managed and we were treated like dirt and given no reliable information at any point. Shortly before midday, I got on a coach to Heathrow and then spent over 4 hours queuing (no information and no seats - just a tiled floor to sit on). I eventually managed to get a re-booking with another airline and eventually arrived 29.5 hours late. Qatar Airways later emailed a response to one of my earlier 'please tell me what on earth is happening' emails and apologised for the 5.5 hour delay (presumably because they are hopelessly incompetent and cannot count up to 29.5). I will never use this appallingly amateur and abusive company again.

We have just returned from India using your service to Chennai on the 4th October from Madrid and returning on the 15th October from Cochin. The flights were on time. The aircraft well maintained in the cabin, the toilets were clean. The food served on each flight was very good and plenty of it. The staff were very professional and courteous. I would certainly fly with Qatar again.

We used Qatar for a trip to Bali. London Heathrow to Doha then connecting flight to Denpasar Bali both flights with Qatar. London to Doha flight was in a 777-300 Dream liner and only half full. Service, meals etc. were really good. Doha to Bali in a 787-8 dream liner. Well if it was like being crammed into a cattle truck. The lay out on this smaller aircraft was 3 3 3 seat layout and you couldn't even eat your meal without knocking the person next to you with your elbow. If the person in front laid the backrest down the tray would be digging into your tummy. Never again. The service on my return journey was not the best. I had ordered a diabetic meal and when I said I didn't eat fish I was told that it is the diabetic meal I ordered and there wasn't an alternative I said I would have a standard meal. The look on the stewards face was like thunder and he was so rude. On the last flight when the breakfast was served again I was given a diabetic breakfast and when I asked for a croissant the stewardess said that it didn't come with one. Then why I asked do I have low fat spread and low sugar jam? what was this to be used for as there was no bread roll. Again she was quite arrogant in her approach. I would not use this airline if I had a choice, sadly I didn't as this was a package deal. Next time I will book with a different agent to avoid flying with Qatar again. The good points for this airline are as follows, good seat back entertainment and the fact that the Dreamliner aircraft are very quiet, the food was good, just everything else was not as expected with a 5* airline. Perhaps they just want to encourage people into upgrading to 1st or business class because economy is a cattle truck.

28/8/15 complaint qartar airways flight 17/8/15 suvarnabhumi airport at check in PO4 11.30PM our passports where being looked at for every stamp by passenger service agent . she insisted arguing with my wife and DIDN'T know what she was doing as we have valid british passports for return journey yetshe's doing passport control job,when i asked her what's going on bfs handling supervisor said have some respect, i replied i will give you respect when i get respect, then she said are you drunk,I replied no. i could see that something was going on about our passports when checking every stamps and arguing with my wife about passports that she should know her job yet she didn't know what to do, causing all this fuss and taking ages to check in! we were then assisted to passport control when let us go through one at a time,met by qatar woman personnel on the other side who wanted to take our daughter separately but i refused as we are family then informing us of our gate number,which had ample time. further on we found the food muslim oriented to muslim tasted which included chicken meat paste pate sandwich, disgusting,that there is no alcohol refreshments and some dvd via tv don't work what so ever,the cabin crew reset it but it still doesn't work. qatar airways are still giving people a hard time at suvarnabhumi airport as we have friends who are experiencing trouble in the same aspects!!! their reply dear mr this has reference to your email regarding your check-in experience at the suvarnabhumi international airport on your travel on QR837/18th august 2015. we are sorry to learn of the disappointment you have expressed as a result of the level of service you received on this occasion and do apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced. we take reports such as yours seriously as these are taken into account in our desire to provide the best possible service and continuous improvement. we have shared your comments with the relevant department for their information and any appropriate action that may be required. thank you for sharing your experience and we remain hopeful that we will have another opportunity of welcoming you again on our flights in the near future. yours sincerely, senior customer care officer

Many reviews here are less than even four star - just wondering who they were written by?!! the fact is they are professional, kind, curtious, smartly dressed & polite. From checkin to aircraft departure they were willing to help time and again. Although I made the mistake of ordering a low sodium meal - the veg was disgusting and the snack stuck to the cardboard box, so for me the only item I dislike was the food - UGH. Having said all that you can't judge a meal over the crew who were wonderful, I'm looking forward to my next flight with Qatar. I've flown many, many times across the world and only found his level of comfort and service once before. Spend the extra it's worth it.

My experience with this Airline was smooth transactions all the way from my ticket purchase to transit to checkin, and finally transit in Doha. The in flight entertainment cabin crew where all welcoming,,,, keep up the good work of setting a high standard

Caught connecting flight from Japan to Manchester. The airline lets anybody on. The planes stink and they are filthy! They don't care about the passengers health or safety. The airline needs shutting down. Their planesneed fumigating. One passenger was moved 5 times she smelt so bad On my return to the UK I was ill for a whole week. I have had 7 days off work in 7 years and a week of this was down to Qatar. 5 star airline.....no way!! I couldn't be paid to use this airline again. They are a disgrace and the worst airline I have ever used. I wasn't sure the first time I used them so used them again. Worst decision I have ever made.

IAD - DXB.The first time I flew with Qatar Airways. The aircraft was new, with a great entertainment system, big screen in each seat, many options of movies, series, tv shows, musics, etc. Attentive service from the flight attendants and a very comfortable and easy to operate seat. The toilets were clean and well kept. Also the meal on board was enjoyable.I will be happy to fly any other airline in the future.

Embarrassing service for a "luxury 5 star airline" the on flight food and drink was awful, along with the TVS being midget size. I'm 5ft 10 and my knees were touching the seat infront on a 7 hour flight from Doha to Manchester. A major refurbishment is needed on all Qatar planes and I certainly will not be flying with them again.

Appalling customer service received at Melbourne Airport counter. We were flying to Athens and were treated like second class citizens. Who do they think they are? Don't waste your money!!1

please Do Not buy ticket for this Qatar Airline I bought two ticket for my wife and son. Lost 2088 dollars....they refused to serve me. and said I cancelled the flight, they refused to refund....
