How can this company still be in business? In less than 1year our $1300 stearns and foster pillow top mattress became unbearable to sleep on. The pillow top foam had started to bunch up in the middle and at the end of the mattress. We did rotate it monthly to no avail. The company did replace the mattress with a , supposedly better one. Welll 2 years later this ,supposedly better mattress is worse than the first one. This one sags so much that I have a hard time trying to get up from it. The wosrt thing is it , I believe , it has damaged my back muscles. The pain has been going on for three months. As a last resort I have flipped it over so the pillow top foam is on the bottom. Pretty firm now. I have written off this mattress and company. If flipping it does not help I am going to burn it and have a wienny roast . Least it will be good for something.

Stearns & Foster has been the worst mattress that I have ever had. Not only is it the worst mattress, but the customer service is by far the worst in the industry. S&F does not care about their customers in the least bit. As a disabled combat veteran, I broke my back in an IED explosion. I spent the extra money thinking that I would get the most comfortable mattress, especially for all of the years of sleeping in fighting holes and rocks! I was wrong, the fighting holes are more comfortable. My fiance are both way under 200lbs, and this mattress is like sleeping in a taco. We roll into one another all night long!!! I'm only home 3 months out of the year; thus she is primarily the only one in the bed, and she does not sleep in the middle of the bed. For years we rotated the mattress (single side pillow top), and that doesnt work. We have most recently flipped the mattress to the hard side, and purchased a $400.00 memory foam topper. Nothing seams to work and S&F could care less!! I bought the mattress in late 2010/early 2011 and have been complaining ever since!!

$2000 mattress is two years old.I have been having a problem with it for a year or more. The store I purchased it from, Havertys in Atlanta , would do nothing about it,nor would Sealy when I contacted them direct. Their silly string test does not address the real problem and that is the sides are collapsing.I have contacted both entities numerous times, had technicians come out twice, and they refuse to address the issue. Stay away from all products Sealy, who owns StearnsFoster.. Incidentally, they are, in turn, owned by Tempurpedic.

I bought a Stearn and Foster at Sleep Country in Markham Ontario before I moved to the East Coast in 2010. I noticed that I was sinking in and I am only 145 lbs and was sleeping alone. Because there was no Sleep Country in my city and could not shipped it back I did not complained about it. For over a year I am not sleeping on it anymore. Today I decided to read the reviews on it and I am so disappointed to read so much negative review. I should not have listen to the salesperson. It cost me $1600.00 for the matress alone plus box spring and mattress cover came to $2337.82. I still have the bill and I will be complaining to Sleep Country when I go back to Toronto in June. I know they won't do anything about it but I will let them know that I will never buy anything from them again and neither will my family or my friends.

AMAZING! I have had this mattress for three years and there is NOTHING since that compares to the quality of sleep I've gotten on it. I've traveled to luxury hotels and visited many great homes... My bed has them all beat! I've even had guest ask me what kind of mattress I have because they love it. I'll be sad if I ever have to change it and can't find another. The only downside was the price... However, I got what I paid for - a piece of heaven! Julie

We rather then complain we need to sue the retailing stores involved and Stearns and Foster, there is an insurmountable body of evidence supporting this product as lousy. File a small court's claim against the retailer and the manufacturer, we have been cheated, you have been cheated, time to stop this poorly manufactured product!!!!!

Horrible Horrible Horrible The mattress we purchased Is a sagging horrible back pain in the ... I feel like i have been taken advantage of. My pregnant wife is in pain because of this Mattress. I am not happy. All that money now we have to save up for Another mattress but not from Sealy ever again. How could you do this to people.

I purchased the mattress two years ago based of the presumed great quality and brand name. The salesman at Mattress Giant was horrible and offered limited information but told me that the warranty is for lifetime and covers all defects which convinced me to buy it the same day and have a piece of mind. The warranty was not provided at time of sale and was never mailed to me as he promised. He never returned my calls inquiring about the warranty and when I called to inquire about the sagging of the mattress in the first two years. I am extremely disappointed with the poor quality of the mattress and with the poor service provided by the vendor. O.S.

Purchased Stearns & Foster king mattress & box springs from the Bay in Hamilton in May/07. Within 6 months we had a service lady come out to our home to examine it as it had indentations on both sides of mattress greater than 1 1/2 inches plus the edges were sagging on both sides. Mattress was replaced and we have the same indentations 6 years later but have given up on trying to replace it again. Feels like you are sleeping in a rut. Would not recommend Stearns & Foster to anyone. We are looking at replacing it and checked with Leons and was told they won't sell Stearns & Foster as they have heard similar complaints. You'd think if you were paying over $2000 you would get quality ...not from this company. Stay away from their product and check mattress reviews from all manufacturers before purchasing!!

I purchased a Sterns and Forster mattress a few weeks ago. Both sides of our king side bed has impressions where we sleep. Called Sterns and Fosters customer service and her response was that is normal for a pillow top! Well that is unacceptable . Do not purchase a Sealy product.

Bought a Stearns & Foster "Patricia" queen mattress sixteen (16) months ago. The mattress is now worn out or a peice of you know what! The only way I can sleep on it is laying from corner to corner. You would think something that cast as much as it did would be made of quality. I will never buy a Sealy product again. Ever!! I had to give it a 1 star because it is required, other wise It wouldn't rate.

We purchased the Sterns and foster Treaty House in 2008. Within months it was sagging on both sides which resulted in sleeping in a hole every night. We spent roughly $2,200. Contacted Sterns and Foster, "have to fill out a claim". Required several pics, drawings, etc. I complied but was not good enough for them so they would do nothing for us on this 10 year warranted mattress. I was dissatisfied in the performance but, even more, I was totally disappointed in the company's integrity. Needless to say, I will never own another Sterns and Foster product. It is interesting to note the furniture store where I purchased the mattress no longer carries Sterns and Foster mattresses for the same reason I will not own another one...BTW this furniture company has several locations in U.S. And Canada so we are not talking about a "mom and pop" operation.

Stearns & Foster Ellie king set, box springs cave in and do not recover. Mattress sags within weeks, 210lbs. Expensive yet worth less than a cheap hotel bed. Sealy is making a quick buck at the cost of the old Stearns & Foster reputation. Sealy is flooding Costco with their sub-standard products. Never again will I buy a Sealy product.

I thougth I was alone with my complaints on the this VERY expensive floor model mattress -$1400.Not soon after sleeping on this for a couple of months, I noticed that the center of the mattress has a sink/indentation that causes you to look as if you are in in a trench in the middle of the bed. There is no recourse because this was a floor model that had no warranty, bought as is.I've never had a problem with a mattress before in my life, so I didn't give it second thought about a warranty because the salesman had such praises for STERNS AND FOSTER!! I am so stressed about this mattress, I can't afford another set.

The only support this mattress (Kaitlin Luxury Firm) has is around the edge. I purchased it 7 months ago ($1,600.00) and gave it an honest try. The place where I purchased it advised me to keep "breaking it in". Now that the exchange period has passed I am stuck with a mattress that I have no choice but to get rid of because STEARNS AND FOSTER WILL NOT REPLACE A MATTRESS UNDER THE WARRANTY unless it has a VISIBLE sag when nobody is on the mattress. When two people are on the bed you both sink into a hole in the middle causing you to sleep at an angle. I like a firm mattress, this mattress is not firm at all. It may be suitable for one person who weighs less than 150 pounds but you will not be comfortable if you try to sleep two people on it. I wish I would have read the online reviews for this brand of mattress prior to purchasing it....it seems nobody is satisfied. Why is Stearns and Foster still in business????

I agree. I didn't purchase this mattress, it came with the house. I thought Sterns & Foster was a good brand. NOT!!. I can't wait until I can afford to replace this piece of junk! The most uncomfortable thing I have ever sleep on.

I have had Sterns and Foster mattresses before, but the new one I bought is pure misery. It offers no support, sagged on the edges within the first week. I haven't had a good night's sleep since I got it. My old mattress which I had for some fifteen years was stil reasonably comfortble. I wish I had kept it.

i bought the best hardest stearns and foster they had,2000 for the mattress.less than 2 months later it has lost all its support,i am 230 lbs,my wife ,130.its like we are on 2 different beds.i even have it on a piece of plywood.it doesn't get any more supportive than that.they tell me that it can't be warrantied because i didn't get their $400 box springs.please do yourself and your wallet a huge favor, and don't buy a stearns and foster or seally product.i read the reviews and figured that only the complainers were on here.that if you had a good experience that you wouldn't write.please save your money.

We bought a $3200 S&F memory foam set from Ashley Furniture in Edmonton. We were convinced by the smooth salesman that it was the cadillac of foam beds and was way better than the popular Tempurpedic. We fell for it and 5 months later (after the 90 day sleep guarantee ran out)it had body indentations over 1 inch deep. I'm 130 lbs and my husband is 200 lbs. I read the warranty and discovered that it only applies if indentations are greater than 1.5 inches. S&F cleverly knows that normal wear creates indentations of 1.4 almost immediately, and so they've created their warranty based on that. We are even more upset now that we've compared the warranties of S&F, Tempurpedic and Zedbed memory foam beds. Both T and Z have warranties for indentations of .5 inches or more! S&F is a scam and we are out of pocket $3200. We will be purchasing a new Zedbed set at Sears for $1300. Well priced and reasonable warranty!!!

We bought a Sealy mattress from Mattress Firm after year 1/2 both sides of the mattress sagged. We filed a claim and were given full credit but we had to use the credit at Mattress Firm. We went back to the store we originally purchased from and were talked into another $1200 to upgrade to a Sterns & Foster, now we have $2200 invested in a mattress, after 7 months this mattress is sagging worst then the first, about an inch. We tried to file a claim again and received a letter from Mattress Firm the sag needs to be 1 1/2" to be covered by warranty. The tech that came out to take pictures and measure the sag told us to roll over it with our car. Can you imagine? Shame on Sterns & Foster for such poor quality or maybe Mattress Firm should stop running so many commercials and buy a better quality for their customers. Well I should have known and Mattress Company that tells you to replace you mattress after 8 years was selling poor quality. Living with a backache!!!!

I agree. I purchased a Sterns and Foster Mattress a year ago. It is the worst mattress I have had. I have back problems .
