I have ordered products before and been happy. However, major issues are abound if you have a problem - so beware. I ordered a product that was buy one get one free - I received one item. In telephoning to remedy the situation I was confronted with a nightmare!!! The first person I spoke to could not understand what I was saying (I speak good English) she put me through to a Supervisor - who virtually told me I was lying and informed me that I would only be receiving the one item - unless I wanted to return it! The item I ordered was the Cool Pillow - I'dd be interested to know if others have experienced the same - it has certainly put me off buying from Ideal World again!

Obviously this company does understand or comply with the above Act in the matter of refunds for defective goods. Instead of a full purchase price refund I was offered 75%. Will not buy anything else from them, Trading Standards should investigate them.

On 14th march, they had 'under £20.00 day',I saw an offer of 4 standard roses with 4 burnished pots £19.99 plus £3.99 p.p. I clicked on 'buy now' where it showed the picture of the roses and pots (item 368503).First they charged me £6.99 p.p (which I did get overcharge of £3.00 refunded eventually, saying it was a technical problem...?).Then the roses arrived ,but no pots.Again I emailed ,theyre saying it wasn't the offer and if I want the pots I have to pay £6.99 p.p!! Luckily I took some photos of the tv screen offer,I have emailed them, but still no reply. I will never buy again, con artists! I buy a lot off create and craft, but no more.Dreadful company.

But to my surprise...one arrived two days later, and the second bike arrived on the third day. Thank you for a speedy service. The bikes look great. Very easy too assemble on the road in less then half an hour. (Just brilliant). the road is our oyster!!

Ordered a treadmill on 30th Dec £210 was told it had been dispatched and would be here for 4th Jan, did not arrive so two weeks later I asked for a refund and was told it would take 12 working days for my money to go back into my bank. 14th Feb and still no refund, customer service absolutely useless four phone calls later and still no joy so I will be starting court proceedings this week. disgusting service and will never order anything from this company again and will let others know not to bother with this shoddy company.

Bought a E-life electric bike. The truck turned up outside my home, two African delivery men dropped the box out of the back of the van onto the road. Needles to say the bike mudguard was bend and it also had other damage on it. They couldn't speak English. The box also was already open prior to delivery and the long staples left in which cut my arm as I reached in to check the box. I complained and sent photos of my arm and the damage to the bike. I did get my money back but I wouldn't use them again. I complained by email as their phone line is so expensive.

I ordered two pairs of trousers on a 2 for one offer. When only one pair arrived i Emailed to find out where the other pair had got to, only to be told that i should have ordered two pairs ?? Surely a 2 for one offer is just that. I would not touch them with a barge pole, total C ARTISTS. ILL never use this firm again.

I placed an order, but telephoned and cancelled prior to item being dispatched. I was advised would receive a refund within five working days, Still waiting and have got fed up phoning an expensive customer service line, last call I had they wanted a copy of my bank statement to prove I had not received a refund - made me feel like I was lying. Also their complaint line does not work - mailbox is full. I have never had such bad customer service or made to feel so uncomfortable for having the cheek to chase my refund. I wish I had read review site prior to buying. I do not have any faith that I will ever receive my refund.

Goods arrived a week later than expected. When they arrived one product had been changed as there had been an issue with original item and the other item arrived in a box which had been ripped open and was covered in sellotape at the top but was still half open. The main item which was a window cleaner attachment for a window cleaning machine was missing. When I phoned up about this got through to a call centre in India I think and the man didn't seem to grasp what I was complaining about. Was told I would get an email in 48 hours which 5 days later I have still not received. Would not use this company again they are very unprofessional and shabby.

I think the customer service is disgraceful. We ordered some car wash items and got talked into joining a trial for rewards and that if we didnt want to commit to the membership we could just call up and tell them. We also got told that we could use all the rewards until this point. I applied for a afternoon tea and hair appointment and decided to cancel to then be told we had to send it all back to be allowed to cancel and we had no authorisation to use the two rewards I applied for because we have to be a member to use them! We sent it back and they said they would reject the applications on recieving them. We sent the whole pack back on special next day delivery to which they are now claiming they never received and have taken £94.00 from our account! We are now having to keep calling them to get a refund on something we dont even have!!! Absolutley disgraceful service and I will never recommend to anyone or use ever again! I had to give a star to leave a review but I wouldnt even give you 1 star if that was an option.

I foolishly bought a Hoover cleaner which was being sold on TV. They said that it could be returned, even if I had tried it. I switched it on for less than a minute, and decided I did not want it. However, there was no paperwork of any kind with it, except for one address which I think was the Head Office. I immediately wrote to this address, to reject the purchase, but have not had a reply, so it appears I have to keep it. I have no receipt, and apparently no guarantee. I would advise anyone to avoid this, far from "Ideal" World. I would have liked to Know that I would not be able to return it.

Ideal World has never set the TV shopping channel world alight. It was always in second place to QVC UK, and more staid compared to more outrageous channels like Bid.tv. Presenters weren't exactly edgy, but it's very difficult to appear exciting when you have to talk about a single vacuum cleaner, piece of kitchen or exercise equipment, or a garden hose for an hour. But that's all changed now. Some decent presenters have shifted to IW's sister channel, and a number of ex-Bid.tv presenters have been employed to take up the slack. Previous ranges that were aggressively sold as "the best things EVER", but looked like they'd be at home in the much-missed Innovations catalogue have disappeared, only to be replaced by clones that look cheaper but either cost the same or are pricier. Ladies' fashion must be a big seller for IW, because it has progressed from just having its two-hour flagship Friday show plus one or two hourly shows throughout the week to being on practically every day. And despite being for apparently different ranges, the clothes all look the same: saggy and baggy tops and dresses, and trousers that would put MC Hammer to shame. Mostly made of polyester, though the presenters hardly ever tell the viewers that. Cheap smartphones are pushed as the "new, must-have technology", even when it is abundantly clear from demonstrations that a) these phones would have issues doing more than a simply Google search and taking calls, and b) IW's "technology expert" is either being very generous with her descriptions, or she knows as much about smartphones as I do about brain surgery. IW sells jewellery made using a man-made gem that was fashioned after a crystal found in a meteorite. Despite their gems being man-made terrestrial copies, IW presenters still call them "space diamonds" often while downplaying the man-made bit, designed to confuse viewers. These items are sold at prices at which viewers could buy actual diamond jewellery, and although they are described by IW as being set in yellow or white gold, there is never any mention of the gold gram weight of the pieces; just the equivalent diamond carat weight. The channel employs 4 people to demonstrate cooking equipment, three men and a woman. the woman is very clear that she is an enthusiastic amateur, while the men are lauded as cordon bleu chefs. Only one has worked professionally as a cook, while another is (like IW's "technology expert) a low-rent actor/presenter wannabe who has a profile with a casting agency. This is not made clear to the viewers. The channel has a weekly holiday cruise show, and often sells cruises to destinations in countries with terrible human rights records, and are famously misogynistic and homophobic. Also, no mention is made of cultural taboos (like the consumption of alcohol etc) in ports cruise ships may dock at. It is simply left up to the buyers to either think to research the destinations before travelling, or learn at their destinations. I mentioned the ex-Bid.tv that IW has employed. These people screech at the screen, are either handsy with female models or make off-colour and inappropriate "jokes" and comments during shows at times when children are watching, or are very scathing to female guests they are working with. They are also rather careless with their statements, often referring to flexi-pay instalments as if they were the full price. The more established presenters are following suit. One talks continuously about his bowel problems, one uses sob stories about aged and/or deceased relatives to help him sell goods to old and vulnerable viewers, and another refers to her ill daughter whenever she can. They also screech and hector the viewers to buy all the time. There are other aspects of the channel that are underhand: the premium rate customer service centre (located in India, who are on record for stringing calls out to maximise call profits) who never resolve issues or are rude, or simply unintelligible. The continuous reduction of items in allegedly never-to-be-repeated sales, then a week later the item is reduced again. Declarations to viewers that certain products are on their last day of sale at IW, then they are on shows a week or so later. The old Bid.tv trick where the presenter suddenly declares that the price shown onscreen is wrong, so viewers should buy ASAP so they can benefit from the error. Customers leaving negative reviews on the IW website, and finding out later that they have been deleted while more positice reviews remain. IW must be in deep financial trouble, but setting out to rip off viewers is not the way to fix things

I bought a mobile phone from Ideal world, ordered white but black arrived. Not too bothered by this, but 6 weeks later it stopped working. I returned to them , they told me it was out of the 14 day guarantee period. They have had it for 2 weeks already but I had an e-mail today to say it has been sent for repair could take 8 to 10 weeks. Never again, customer services terrible, they keep sending me differing emails. So I may have a phone that works bought on 8th. JUNE BY END OF OCTOBER.
