Written on: 28/11/2013 by scott91 (5 reviews written)

people that have been with the post office for broadband and phone will know of the problems they have been having but they are all sorted now and the badly effected customers like me are being issued with a good will gesture. the broadband is faster than ever now with speeds of 100mbps and download speeds of up to 1.3mb they are fantastic with payment options i would definitely recommend them… Read Full Review

“DO NOT USE”

Written on: 16/11/2013 by zepnut (1 review written)

Long long story. My Mother in Law is 86 and on her own. No line for 3 days, 2 massive (recorded) arguments with their useless customer services. Still no service. These people are highly trained to tow the company line with no common sense or even logic in the rubbish they come out with. They know that what they are saying is wrong. The supervisors will not talk to you before 5pm??? they will not talk to you after 5pm??? what's 5pm all about? They were very busy apparently. There is no valid… Read Full Review

my phone has been down for 48 hours and i have to wait another three days for an engineer. it is almost impossible to get through to their customer services hotline and they refuse point blank to give out any other number. formal complaints are ignored without even any acknowledgement… Read Full Review

Line was broken down in storm on 27/10. 1st reported fault on 29/10. Phone 9 times since, finally had engineer down on 6/11, he found the broken line after i kept being told by customer services, that the fault was in the area box, Open reach engineer was meant to report problem. After waiting another 4 days, phoned cust ser again today (12/11) to be told my file had been updated stating engineer could not gain access to property, i am no nearer resolving the problem, i have never experienced… Read Full Review

“appalling customer service”

Written on: 11/11/2013

I live in an isolated, rural house with patchy mobile coverage, so when my phone & internet connections went down in a thunder storm 9 days ago I was pretty desperate to get reconnected. A full account of my dealings with Post Office customer services would take me an hour to type up, so to summarise: I think I've spent about 18 man hours on the phone in the past week trying to get it sorted, queuing for hours (literally), sometimes being cut off, sometimes talking to people who didn't… Read Full Review

“Stitched up by the Post Office”

Written on: 11/11/2013

Post Office Home Phone and Broadband have sold us down the river pretending to 'upgrade' the service when what they actually did was move us all from a BT line to Talk Talk thus removing the ability to use override providers (eg 18866), coupled with horrendous 'technical' issues, and so called Customer Services who don't answer the phone or respond to any other form of communication. To change supplier we also have to pay for a compatible BT line! Where is the great Ofcom - another useless… Read Full Review

“The words piss-up and brewery come to mind”

Written on: 09/11/2013 by 88Donna (1 review written)

Have been a customer since 2010. Found their written communications inefficient but the line and broadband problem-free. In the past few months, they have simply not told customers what they're up to. Should have written to us, saying: "We're handing over the technical side to someone else but will do our best to ensure a smooth change-over". But they have still not explained.I found that out by reading the advice column in a newspaper. I only realized that something was amiss when I received… Read Full Review

“Kafka-esque nightmare of a company - avoid”

Written on: 08/11/2013

I don't know how much i owe or where to pay it. They never send a bill (or if they do the post office must then lose it each time). They cannot be reached by phone as you wait for 10 minutes listening to a robot tell you that your call is important to them, before telling you to try again later and hanging up. Then you get bailiff letters for non-payment. You explain but they tell you its nothing to do with them and you must speak to the post office… Read Full Review

“don't do it!!!!”

Written on: 06/11/2013

if you are considering these guys then just 3 words of advice 'don't do it' have been with the postoffice for about 5 years and whenever there was a problem you could get through within minutes but since the changeover in september 2013 to 'capita' support centres it takes hours, they ignore emails and ignore their own internal help system which promises to call you back. They now offer talktalk support quality but at premium price in comparison....my contract ends in feb 2014 and if I can get… Read Full Review

“Started off bad and getting worse.”

Written on: 31/10/2013

I switched to the Post Office because I wanted cheap line rental for a line that I don't use for calls (only broadband connectivity). At the start they were okay, but there was always a problem that they couldn't set up a direct debit for me. So I called to pay my bill every quarter, no big deal. The last couple of times I've called to pay, it's taken days of constantly waiting on hold to get through. I had already had enough but now my phoneline has stopped working and it's costing me untold… Read Full Review

“Diabolical service”

Written on: 30/10/2013

I highly recommend you DO NOT GO WITH THE POST OFFICE. My mother is with the post office and we have had nothing but trouble. First she was in credit with them so didnt pay anything for a few months to get the account back in order. She then caught up and owed £23 and they sent bailiff letters. This is too an 83yr old lady with dementia. The account was paid as soon as we were notified of the outstanding amount but the bailiffs were still sent, even after we explained her situation and we… Read Full Review

“Dreadful”

Written on: 26/10/2013

The phone line has been down for 5 days - perhaps I am lucky as others have waited longer. It is not fixed yet so i may want to add to this. Getting through is awful - Vivaldi and sorry - thank you for being patient. Once through I have been transferred and off we go again, more Vivaldi and more patience. I have no sense whatsoever that anyone is doing anything about about the line. Great pity as I was attracted to the Post Office because it is an institution that I like. The telecoms part is… Read Full Review

“No telephone for 6 weeks!!”

Written on: 19/10/2013

My husband and I have been in contact just about every other day about having our telephone reconnected and each time we are kept waiting for almost an hour. The local farmer pulled down our line over 6 weeks ago. We have had 3 different teams of engineers to our home but to no avail, the line is still down. The last engineers came nearly 3 weeks ago but we haven't seen anyone since. On more than one occasion we have been promised a call back about progress but they did not happen. On Tuesday… Read Full Review

“Help - 5 calls this morning and nothing fixed!!!!!!!”

Written on: 16/10/2013

I have had broadband problems this morning, followed by no line tone on my landline phone. I have phoned the customer service 5 times on my pay as you go mobile, using all my credit as I am left holding and transferring and when I'm waiting to speak to a technical member my phone goes dead. I have spoken to so many people and nobody has been of any help, what are you playing at!!!! So far I have wasted 1 and a half hours of my time and used up my credit on my mobile, I am so angry. I will… Read Full Review

I to had to try and call po phones, after the moving team cancelled my line a month to early. Don't call on mobiles, I called several times and it cost me £32 pounds extra. I could not get my line reconnected, and po phones complaints have not answered my letters sent by recorded delivery. Terrible customer service when something goes wrong.

“Worst 'customer care' ever experienced!”

Written on: 14/10/2013 by Karl55 (2 reviews written)

I've got a fault on my home landline, which I've been trying to report to the customer care line using a neighbour's telephone. A 10 minute wait is just about acceptable, but no one has answered my call after 2 hours. Thank heavens my neighbour is understanding. Can't the Post Office just add a message saying that the service is currently unavailable? My residential line is unusable, both as a telephone line and for a broadband connection, but I can't see how it will get fixed. I regret… Read Full Review

“applaing wait times”

Written on: 12/10/2013

waited over 30 mins to speak to someone, and then when I did the level of service was abysmal, it seemed like the agent had to ask someone else for every question I asked, while leaving me on hold and giving vague answers like ' it should be within that timescale ' and when pressed still not beign able to confirm an exact question and calling me Mr "my firstname" as opposed to my surname. all in all about 1.5 hours to sort out a simple enquiry - avoid, beware, dont bother with this lot… Read Full Review

“Worst service possible”

Written on: 10/10/2013

We changed to the Post Office to save money.Had we known what an awful service they offered we wouldnt have bothered. Our broadband and telephonr were upgraded just over a week ago and neither has worked properley ever since. Trying to contact their Customer Care line is just about impossible. It doesnt matter what time of day or night you try you will only get a pointless message saying they are eperiencing a high volume of calls. I sent an email to them a couple of days ago but still havent… Read Full Review
