the website is terrible. I never get by after 1 page. it always tells me website not responding it freezes again and again. tooo bad because its nice to shop online.

“terrible treatment”

My mum and gran took me to toys r us in craigleith in Edinburgh today for a treat after my hospital appointment today.im only 10 , my mum had picked up Christmas tree decorations and key rings with my name on it because my name is never usually on anything, she wanted to buy them for me, and was walking around the shop with them in her hand, then a member of staff came over to us and said if your not going to buy them put them back, we still has other stuff we wanted to buy and he accused me of stealing one and putting it in my pocket, I would never steal and this has really upset me, he told my mum if she wouldn't stop talking she could get out the shop after being accused of being a thief . I would never go back to this shop again, the manager said she was going to speak to him later.

“CANNOT BE TRUSTED! Will never buy from again”

I purchased an item for over £200 - it arrived having been opened and scratched/marked. We had to wait 2 days for collection of the damaged item. The courier then failed to show up! We complained and only received a generic response - advising us we'd need to wait a further 2 days for another collection...We received the replacement item a week later...which unbelievably was again very badly scratched! We obviously couldnt trust ToysRUs and requested to return the item in store and collect a 'NEW' replacement item, however this wasnt possible. We had to wait yet again for another collection date, then for the damaged item to be 'received' by ToysRUs (a week!) then wait 3 working days for our refund. The refund never came. We have had to request our refund again and are 'still' waiting...all this has taken over a month, we still have no much needed item and no refund. ToysRUs literally do not care, not even when you complain.

“Management”

Many of HR managers are quitting, because they doing two jobs now. They are supervisor for front-in-Service desk and not get increase the pay. To get on full-time with Toys R Us you would have be a Manager or supervisor. They don't want to pay Obama care so you can only work part-time. So Quality goes down customer service.

“Don't have them ship anything”

I am LIVID! I ordered a baby monitor for my daughter's baby shower. I got their "free" shipping. What they do not tell the consumer is that they mail the item with "Direct Signature Required." I have three days I am supposed to sit around my house waiting for my item or it gets sent back to Toys R Us. OR, I get to leave work and find a Fed Ex store and go pick my item up. But now I have to wait 2 days for it to get re-routed there. This is inconvenient to anyone who has a job and takes a bus to work. What a ridiculous policy! I would have driven to the store if I knew it was going to be such a hassle to straighten this out. Nothing is FREE. I will not be dealing with them again. AMazon will be my choice!

“Replacement item”

Ordered item online and went into Store to collect following receipt of a text message confirming it was available for collection . At store was informed item unavailable and there was a glitch with their computers and I should not have received the text. After some discussions the manager came and agreed to replace the item which was unavailable with a similar alternative at no extra cost. I think this was ultermstely good customer service.

“Gift Card”

I ordered a gift card online, which i wanted to send straight to the recipient. There was no option to include a message at the time of ordering, so i contacted toys r us via email after i had placed the order asking if they could add a message to the order, so the recipient would know who it had come from. I was told the order could not be amended even though i had only just placed it 5 mins ago. This communication had to be done via email as there was no phone number in order to call and speak to somebody. Poorly designed website and ordering process and awful customer service.

“I will never shop again at any of their stores”

Purchased thru their toll free number on 11/19/14. Received damaged goods and was promised the "surcharge of $124.99 would be waived". Contacted guest relations 8 times. All of their agents were pleasant, professional and accommodating on the phone and promised this would be rectified. The guest relations agents hands were tied though-supervisors failed to either contact me back (4 no return calls or emails)or correct the problem. So I kept calling the supervisors. All of them "promised me they would honor the agreement and notify billing dept. to credit me $124.99". The billing dept. seems to be an entity in itself, with no input from supervisors. What was promised to me by Toys R Us supervisors NEVER transpired. Requested supervisors put in writing/email what they told me on the phone. None complied. 12/23/14 was my last contact with them.

“Me likey”

Toys r us is a well known company with adverts that are remembral and nice for e.g Magical place ( i'm obsessed with that song) and is a very big store with wonderful deals and brings back a lot of awesome childhood memories ( even though i'm still a child xD )Really good prices for e.g Zoobles Mama & Zoobling playset 4.97 for A LOT Zoobles is awesome! ;)

“Worst Company Ever”

Shambolic. How this company is still in business is beyond me . We have had the misfortune to have to shop at this store purely because a certain toy was unavailable elsewhere . In future we will avoid this company like the plague . The sooner it goes into liquidation the better .

“Heartless contact centre staff”

My complaint is regarding their emailing list and trying to remove oneself from it. I emailed the contact centre to remove my niece from their mailing list after her baby had sadly died, as obviously it's sad to get baby related mail after such an event. I received a blanket response promising to remove her from the mailing list. She continued to receive emails, what's more I then started to receive them. I can only estimate it took 4 weeks of emails before we stopped receiving unsolicited emails, and the only time I received a personal response was a really officious email telling me I hadn't given them chance to stop the mail. Utter rubbish.

“Delivery service appalling ”

I ordered a trampoline on the 16th July 2014 it stated up to 4 days for delivery which I thought wasn't bad considering it was free I received a second email the day after saying my order had been dispatched but I'm still sat here waiting and it's the 21st of July I've tried tracking my parcel through the link they sent me and the page doesn't exist I've tried to get in touch with toys r us by phone and it's impossible all I can do is send an email I'm not happy the customer service and delivery is probably one of the worst I've come across sort your selfs out TOYS R US !!!!

“Warrington Store”

Stay away from the Warrington store if you excepect to be acknowledged by staff or given any kind of service. Espacially stay away if you are pregnant as the staff will treat you as an obstacle and an inconvenience and rather than allow for this simply push past, excpect you to move out of there way or try and knock you down with there stock. If you decide to visit this store then dont bother to complain all you will get are promises of call's from the Manager that do not happen. VERY POOR SERVICE

“They kept billing me again and again after being paid”

I made a purchase of 3 items. All of which were in stock. I paid with my debit card. The full amount was taken. The shipment came from 2 different places. After I received my fist shipment, they billed me again for the second shipment. I tried to reason with them and they would not listen to me or my bank. I then file with my back for fraud. I was returned some of my money and billed me again! My bank is handling this but be aware, they keep taking your money even though you have paid for the items completely the first time. Never will I do business with this company again!!

“Click & Colect JOKE!”

Ordered items from Click n Colect service. It was saying online "in stock" in the store I wanted to pick my order. After an hour got a call from customer service that they havent got it! Useless service!! Then I got a txt msg "yr order is ready to collect" so I phoned them and they said that it's still out of stock!!! What's the point of that service??!! Very dissapointed, not gonna buy anything from them ever again!!!

The system inside the store does not take into account the theft. Therefore click and collect can be wrong. At least customer services got in touch with you to confirm your item was out of stock, before you left your house to collect it.

“Lies and Ripoffs”

I took my son to buy a Thomas the Tank Engine toy today as a treat. All over the shop signs were displayed saying "PRICE GUARANTEE. We will not be beaten on price". So I thin what the heck I will just check Amazon quickly. Sure enough, the £27 toy we were about to buy is only £17 on Amazon! So I happily told the checkout girl what I had found. She said "oh, no, we don't price match Amazon, just Mothercare". Well if they did not have those (misleading) signs up everywhere I would never have noticed that the same products are available for almost half the price elsewhere. So they shot themselves in the foot there. Essentially: shop around!! Toys R Us is not good for anything other than browsing - take a look and then go home and order online!!!

“AWFUL”

ok so i took my 6 year in toys r us luton to spend his birthday money he choose 2 skylanders multi packs and a few single figures because on 3 separate displays it stated on ALL of the price tags that is was buy 1 get 2nd half price so we worked it out and he had enough but we get to the till and are told by a rude server that the multi packs are not included in the offer and the will add £25 to our total i asked to speak to a manager who when they finally appeared was just as rude and useless and when i said it was misleading and unfair because the offer had been on all labels on all displays i recieved a look and a shrug very helpful considering by then my 6 year old has burst into tears becuase he didn't have enough money to get them now, so in short the deals and prices are misleading and often wrong the staff are rude and unhelpful annd from now on i will go elsewhere

“Would not give refund or exchange on faulty unsafe product”

Numerous faults and safety issues including failing brakes on an own brand child buggy product for our young son. The store we bought it from would not believe there were any problems when we took it back, and would not do an exchange or refund. Trying to deal with head office management has been really difficult and stressful, getting us nowhere. They were not willing to authorise a refund based on the problems and our consumer rights. Despite other customer reviews on their website highlighting safety issues consistent with our own experience of the same product, they have not been willing to recall it. We've had to buy a safe, reliable buggy from another retailer who we trust, and are having to fight to get our money back.

“Awful Customer Service”

I purchased a baby changing bag from Toys R Us store. After a few months the cord has come out of the strap so wanted to return it. Rung my nearest store which is 30 mins drive away to check I could return without receipt and she said yes sure as its faulty bring it in and we will swap. Drove all the way there and stood at cust service desk for 20 mins while the assistant went off then came back with what looked like the manager - on her way saying to him 'can you say it you're better at this than me'. No apology or anything for me waiting, just no you cant swap as no proof of purchase. Which was why i rung first as would have printed off bank statement to take in. ABSOLUTE IDIOTS! I have written to them twice and not even a reply. Will not be giving them a penny more of my money.

“missing lego”

I went to toys r us Bradford today. As my son had christmas money he wanted to spend we brought the lego lord of the rings. After ages building it found out they were missing bits :( My son was so un happy!!!! I decided to call the bradford branch up and all I go was a recorded message saying they were closed until boxing Day but it's the 2nd of January!!!!!! So will try again in the morning if no reply will heading in to the store!!!!!!!!
