“Appalling. Avoid”

Appalling service. Avoid at all costs. Great at taking my money, but when the flight was cancelled at the gate, Lastminute's online live chat (which appears to be the only way to communicate with them) insisted that the flight was fine and cut off the call, leaving me stranded at Cardiff airport with my daughter on a Friday night. I tried again the next day to be told the same thing, although when I pointed out that every online flight tracker, including the airline I was booked with, showed the flight as cancelled, I was eventually given the email address for customer services so I could 'submit my evidence'. How can it be that Lastminute have poorer information about my flight than anyone who can use Google search? Over a week later I'm still trying to get a full refund - now they are trying to pay me back in euros at a reduced rate. They tell me if I want to claim the flight compensation that's due, I have to sort that out myself with the airline. I didn't expect Lastminute to make getting a full refund for a holiday that couldn't go ahead (due to no fault of mine) into such a nightmare experience. I really expected better from a company that I thought was reputable.

“GREDDY AND DONT CARE”

I book three flight yesterday the same separately the second and third was €20 more. 17 hours later a email regarding the first booking saying “ Important - Your booking could not be confirmed” this was done by lastminute for greed to get more money on another booking for it again. This won’t happened though. I will prove that I will get same flight for same price as it is their legal responsibility. I will challenge them through a small claims court and prove to them that they can’t treat customers like this. Stay well away from lastminute and avoid distress and the abuse they cause. They simply don’t care or listen. DO NOT RECOMMEND - FAKE APOLOGIES AND NOT QUICK TO GET BACK TO YOU TO RESOLVE.

I paid a for free cancellation with lastminute.com. apparently this didn't include flights which was not made apparent. I was charged £678 on top of the £30 deposit per person. I contacted easy jets and they needed a reference number for the flights to refund me. Lastminute.com do not have a reference number, as they got rid of it when I cancelled my holiday. So now I am down over £700 with no holiday, no flight tickets and a lot of hassle. Near in mind this holiday isn't for another 6 months and all I had paid so far was the deposit!

paid a deposit for a holiday id been saving for all year, spoke to them online (only way to contact them) to say i hadn’t got a confirmation email through, said it would come, got it next day and flight was wrong! spent a whole day on their so called help line and when they kept repeatedly reading off a sheet i then called airline and hotel who had NO record of my trip, then called my bank and they had taken almost £5,000 from my account! no communication from them to try and sort this! i’m now left out of pocket and NO holiday, had tried 4/5 time to contact but the cut me off on their so called help line! totally devastated as it took me a long time to save this on a pension.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY Lastminute.com cancelled a holiday I had booked to Bali due to the airline cancelling its flights. Their terms and conditions, article 9, says if the vendor, lastminute.com, cancels a holiday the customer will receive a full refund of all monies paid. From my refund lastminute.com deducted £180 which they said was travel pack handling charge. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. they are heatless, sham artists Date of experience: 13 December 2023

“They don't refund”

Booked a flight but had to cancel due to visa issues and cost. Cancelled within 24 hours and no tickets ever issued. AIR france confirmed refunded money back to lastminute.com and this was a 100% refund. On £760 flight was offered £148 voucher. They state money hasn't been received from Air France and want evidence. This crowd lastminute.com are a bunch of shammers. AVOID AT ALL COST like.another says, only way to get a refund is to take them to court.

“Avoid lastminute.com”

Be very careful and avoid the portal lastminute.com because they use a very dirty way of doing business. When searching for the best flight price on the Skyscanner portal, the best flight price and conditions were found on the lastminute.com portal. I selected the link and started the process of paying for the plane ticket, but after entering the credit card information and confirming the payment, the moment I pressed the "confirm" button, the price increased by 20%. Of course, the transaction authorization process cannot be stopped and the transaction is approved. I immediately called my card company and asked to cancel the transaction, but unfortunately, it was not possible. After that, I called lastminute.com's customer service and got the answer that I can get a refund minus the transaction cancellation fee or a voucher for the same amount, valid for one year. Of course it didn't suit me, I was certainly financially damaged. In this case, the financial loss is not the most important thing, it is an ugly way of doing business by the portal lastminute.com, changing the price of the product at the moment of confirming the transaction, when nothing can be done to stop it. Please avoid the portal lastminute.com, because their way of doing business is ugly, unethical and absolutely unacceptable. I note that I have been buying plane tickets this way regularly, several times a year, for more than 5 years, and I have never felt cheated in such a perfidious way.

“A filch online travel agency”

I had the worse experience with this agency is the first and the last time that I book with them! I made a ticket booking of £700 than I wanted to know how much are the fees if I cancel my flight, I had to click on request a cancellation on their website so they can contact the airline and reply to me with the fees of cancellation so either I accept and go a head with the cancellation or keep my booking! After 3 days I receive an email saying that your refund is £200 from the airline! I didn’t get any reply before as mentioned regarding the fees cancellation on the website! I tried to contact them by phone which is impossible, I tried the chat but the agents they all seems a robot keep repeating one sentence which is not helpful! I tried to contact them by email no reply! I tried PayPal didn’t help! Please avoid this agency are a dishonest.

Hi, Please DO NOT book your flight tickets with lastminute. They have the worst customer service and feedback system. You will waste several hours/ days in your life arguing and explain your problems with no possible resolution. The problem: I booked a flight ticket worth approx 1300 euros. The airlines cancelled the inbound flight, hence, I cancelled my entire trip. The airlines refunded the full cost of the inbound flight. However, I also cancelled the outbound flight as it was a return booking. - I only got a refund of 720 euros, despite the airlines saying the cost of voluntary cancellation is 210 euros. I lost more than 500 euros! - The refund took more than 2 months, nearly 3 months after the cancellation date. - Lastminute refuses to provide me with the cancellation charges of the airlines after requesting it several times. Several other travel agencies provide the breakdown of costs. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with lastminute. Please DO NOT book your flight tickets with lastminute!

So this disgusting company tricked me of 700 pounds. I've been in a battle to secure it back to me. Bank couldn't help, paypal didn't help, travel insurance couldn't help and Abta was as useful as a plaited fart. I went to action fraud who advised me to take lastminute.com to small claims court. It took a lot of getting evidence and papers but I was in court yesterday. I won the case easily and will now proceed to the high court to get my refund. I advise everyone to do this, it dosent cost a lot of money and to know this is the only way to get your refund from this company. They just take money and don't book anything just keep the money. The 5 directors have just been hauled before the court and imprisoned for all the tax and furlough funds. Check the news on them. Lastminute.com is now putting a woman director in their place and changes are promised. Do not believe them, read the feedback on here they have been doing this for years. They move head office every 3 years, its now in Switzerland, no guesses where these villains bank. Hidden millions in Swiss bank accounts. Take them to court BEWARE these thieves are linked to Booking.com so expect the same from them.

“NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, BOOK WITH THEM”

Booked on 27th may last year to see my ill mum in usa. Last minute cancelled three weeks later and i requested my money back. They would not reply so i constantly emailed. They ignored me. So i wrote. They further ignored me so i phoned on their expensive telephone lines where they bawled me out screaming at the top of their voice that they had offered a voucher substitute. Impossible as they have never ever responded to me. The guy was obnoxious and loud and mid stream just cut me off. Bordering a year later im having to seek legal help to regain my monies - i paid on a debit card- so... This is just an attempt to stop anyone who has a brain from giving these people your hard earned money. They will just keep it and never speak to you again. If i had read a report like mine anywhere i would never, never, never, have booked with them.

“Do Not Use Lastminute.com”

Our flights got cancelled via email on the 1st of March, we asked for an alternative flight because all of the prices had gone up since our original booking. We're now 10 days from our original date for flying and still no flight. We call every day and we get, we'll send you an email today. And nothing. They're a third part seller so there isn't much they can do but still, maybe call if a flight gets cancelled. Don't just send an email.

“No support after a cancelled flight”

After my flight was cancelled, they booked another one the day after, even though the same airline had a flight later the same day. I stated that I am not satisfied with the changed itinerary and got an automatic mail saying they would contact me. They haven't done it in a week. I called them, a person wrote down my request (or so he claimed) and that I would receive confirmation within 72-96 hours. I didn't. After yet another week, I called again, but the system would not even let me speak with an agent, I just got an automated message saying that my booked flight is too far in the future and that I try calling " on a later date " or to modify my flight via the website. Yet on the website it only states that I should call them! Would be funny if it was not so horrible! I even contacted the airline (Air France) directly, but they stated that the change has to go through the agency (i.e. lastminute). DO NOT RECOMMEND - they are absolutely not worth a couple of save euros!!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

“Wrong advice by their agent and now left to sort out mess”

I booked a flight to the Philippines in May 2021 and took out their Premium Package Service which allows me to change my flight. By September 2021, I realised that the Covid situation was still very bad, so I called lastminute and was told that it would be easier to change my flight directly with Singapore Airlines which I did. SA changed my flight as requested. However, it is now obvious that Covid is still a risk so I called lastminute to change. Was told that because I changed the booking directly, they can't help as they do not have the new booking on their system. I was surprised. Since then, I'm being passed from pillar to post by both lastminute and Singapore Airlines, each saying the other is responsible. I paid £1600. Called lastminute to say that I changed my booking directly per their advice but, nevertheless, they said they can't help me. I am very worried now.

“Stay away from their trap! preventing you from losing...”

This unethical operation should be reported to UK & Switzerland Government authorities to prevent more customers falling into their trap. After a month daily of email fighting with Bravofly/Lastminute group, all they do is hold onto your money and do nothing until you give up. If you Voluntary cancel your trip regardless what’s reasons are, you will not be unable to claim your money back as this is part of their Terms and conditions even if the airline provide a full refund back to them. So their tactics is NO response to you and make their phone line more complicated options and you couldn’t talk to anyone, so there is no way you will get any solution in time, and you decide to cancel the booking because you are so sick of dealing with them and lost patience and trust then you fall into their trap! luckily we got both virgin Australian and Rex on our back and assistance after constant calls. STAY AWAY from Bravofly/Lastminute Group! All you experience is your holiday being ruined, lost money, time and energy as well as constantly dealing with false and misleading information, endless stress and frustration! The unethical commercial practices is not just harm the public interest also impact on other reputable third parties booking engines and agents. Last not the least the airlines have to deal with Bravofly/Lastminute Group’s victims!

when booking accommodation for a holiday in Aug 2020 the call agent for lastminute.com, said(and confirmed in email) that payment will not be taken until arrival at my hotel. 1 day later my Credit Card is charged for the full amount, plus its taken out in US$ and not pounds, so I incurred a currency transaction charge on top. Lastminute.com were at fault and accept that but are blaming booking.com their offline provider. What can I pursue against them for incurring additional costs? and also having to pay for my holiday accommodation early thereby paying more interest charge to the credit card company in order to spread the payment over 3 months.

Worst company in the history of companies online. I paid for a packaged deal to Amsterdam. After paying and the money leaving my account I experienced an error page. I called them and they said the money came out but my flight is over booked. Was asked to pay £6.90 extra. I did this. Once I did this he told me my flight details over the phone and I realised it's the same flight. What was the £6.90 for? To top this up he then turned around and told me that my hotel is overbooked! I asked for another Amsterdam hotel as this is not my fault and they already took my money. They offered me Bostian Zaandam Zuid. I asked is this close to Amsterdam Centrum? He replied saying closer then your other hotel and its about 15 minutes walking distance. I agreed and asked for email confirmation. When I received the email I noticed that the hotel address did not look like an Amsterdam address. Hit Google map and saw that the hotel is in fact 2 hours and 9 minute walk, 14.5 kilometers! They actually put me in a Industrial area. Called back spent in total about 9 hours on the phone if not more. They are refusing to change the booking, I need help. Does anyone know what I can do?

The best course of action is to contact your card company and explain the problem. The card company help lines are there for your benefit and they will most likely give a refund and claim it back from lastminute.com. My experience of lastminute.com is also quite bad. After booking a double room in the Birmingham Jurys Inn, I called the hotel to confirm as my confirmation email only said for one person. Jurys told me the booking was only for one. Called lastminute.com who told me I could only cancel and re-book which meant paying a cancellation fee. After some time explaining it was their fault without any joy I told them not to bother, rang Jury's, who were most helpful and made the necessary amendments at no extra cost. In future I may use lastminute.com to find good deals but then call the hotel direct. Despite what lastminute.com may say the hotel is generally quite happy to match or even better the lastminute.com quoted price.

Contact your card company and also contact last minute in every possible way, facebook, instagram, twitter etc to make them listen to your complaint. Also all review websites as well. They are an appalling company, never in my life will I ever use them again! Best of luck.
