we had this set for two & a half yrs & it went totally dead. I can buy a new set for what it cost to repair it.LG was not at all helpful & simply referred me to a repair service. The man was very nice & informed me that LG was the most repair prone set on the market.If it wasn't for their marketing skills I don't think anyone in the know would touch their products.

we bought a LG 3D TV in April 2011 two years warranty just out of date and TV packs in not very good for LG. We had a Panasonic for 14 years with no trouble 26" but looked a little bulky so we went for slim line tv big mistake we should have got another PANASONIC.

Well, my 14 month old 42LM6410 TV is set for the junk heap, having paid close to $1000 I'd expect something to last more than 14 months. TV suddenly started flickering, TV repairer just said it's stuffed without even looking at it. I'll never buy LG again nor recommend.

I got a LG 55 inches TV, and when I on the power there are no picture or sound, after a bit more than 3 years, when I called Service center, I was told that I need to pay $200 + GST, for their men to come and see what they can do ? I told their Staff and also Service Center Manager , I was told that is the company system, i am not happy, firstly TV breakdown just after 3 years,when I on only about 40 to 50 hours per week, secondly when I have to pay $ 214, and I don't even know how much I have to pay for the spare ? This is my 2nd bad experience with LG product.

Purchased my LG 40 t.v. two days ago. I had a 3 year old Tosiba, that blew out during a bad storm. I hate the picture quality on the LG. No comparison to Toshiba. Dark and not good detail. I will be returning to the store. Not what they sold it as. Very poor viewing from an angle. There is nothing I like about it. No controls on the side, for on / off like Toshiba, Stand is wobbly not secure like Tosiba. I would have liked to have seen it displayed on a stand not wall mounted for better detail of the t.v. itself. Also, store should have provided real t.v. not prepackaged viewing of fish!

Bought a LG 50PK350 Plasma, in 2010, 2 years later the TV did not switch on, the red standby button kept going on and off. I did not buy extended warrenty because if you bought them for all products you owned thats all your wages gone each month and everyone expects a TV that costs £600 to last more than 5 years. I had a local TV repair man fix it at a cost of £150, and thought fine thats what extended warrenty would of cost, but 5 months later same problem and asking myself if its worth spending another £150!! I dont think so, think it will have to be a new TV and it will never again be an LG. I did phone LG and told them it sounds like a common fault due to all reviews I've read, they say there is no common fault with there Tv's, WHAT A JOKE!! I would never recommend LG to anyone!!

I purchased 2 LG TVs with a 12 month gap between each purchase. The First was fine for 2 years and then the picture would come and go with the message 'NO SIGNAL' showing on the screen when the picture was lost. The second TV was fine at first, but at just over 2 years old the very same problem commenced. I had a very competent repair company look at both TVs and was told that the repair for each would exceed the purchase cost of a new TV for each. The problem exists in the area of the electronics that deal with the incoming arial signal. If I plug and play a DVD, VCR or Game consul the TVs work perfectly, you just cant watch incoming TV programmes with out constant loss of signal for about 3 minutes each time before it self corrects and this will reoccur after about 8 minutes. For both TVs to have the exact same problem shows that there is a manufacturing fault, in my opinion, of LG TVs. I feel LG need to look at this fault.

Hello guys and gals, without doubt manufacturers like Lucky Goldstar (LG) seem to have refocused their business' to provide quality products in the high profit, small manufacturing base items, such as smart phones; Think about it, a smart phone costs the same as a 50" tv but has far fewer components and you can make far more of them than tv's in the same factory footprint; As smartphones are 'must have', the profit on one of these is 5 times that of bulky tv's; Another issue is what's known in the trade as 'built-in failure', it seems that the idea is to keep cashflow going, they want you to buy the latest flashy tv as often as possible,not keep one 10 years; The 3D farce burned the fingers of all tv manufacturers and it looks like 'smart' tv's have been a sales flop as well; Companies that have fingers in many pies may wonder what's the point of bulky tv manufacturing, when a smart phone will naturally be replaced within 24 months as a fashion statement, or the battery packs in them need replacement and like the LG NEXUS, has to be returned to LG for a new one costing half as much as the phone originally! I have the Nexus 4 from Google, great phone other than it eats up a full charge every 6 hours of surfing;

I purchased a 42" LG television in Jan 2012 since October 2012 it has been for repair 4 times without a satisfactory outcome. I have requested to speak to a senior manager dozens of times without success The last time the T.V. went for repair it was damaged in the workshop although I sent photographic evidence they did not have the decency to reply. Their staff are very unhelpful and in all probability it has cost L G more than the value of the T V in labour costs trying to repair the set and this is excluding transportation costs. I am in the process of reporting the problem to trading standards and I am contacting the T V programme watchdog If you want to enjoy your viewing DO NOT BUY A L.G TELEVISION If anyone has experienced similar problems with LG televisions or any other of their products I urge you to contact trading standards and any of the consumer protection programmes LIFE IS NOT GOOD WHEN DEALING WITH LG as they cannot full fill their guarantee commitments Their engineers must be of a low standard as they cannot rectify the fault of no picture plus they cause additional damage I consider L G the worst company I have ever dealt with

BOUGHT AN LG PLASMA TV FOR £700 THE TV JUST DECIDED TO PACK UP JUST AS THE WARRANTY RAN OUT . I CALLED THE LG CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME FOUR TIMES THEN I CONTACTED WHERE I BOUGHT THE TV AND EVERYONE KEEPS SAYING CONTACT LG. SO I MANGED TO SPEAK TO SOME RANDOM ASSISTANT WHO HAD THE NERVE TO HANG UP ON ME AND TELL ME THAT ITS THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE HAD ATV PACK UP SUDDENLY. SO NOW I AM JUST STUCK WITH A LIKE NEW TV THAT DOESN'T WORK AND A CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM WHO ARE SO EVASIVE. SO AS A POINT OF WARNING IF YOU SEE AN LG PRODUCT KEEP YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKET OR RATHER GAMBLE IT CAUSE THEIR PRODUCTS ARE NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

Purchased a LG tv on April 5, 2011 and the color went out of it on January 16, 2013. The sound in it has never been right. It was a poor choice of a tv.

Although there are a number of quirks with the LG42LW5300 that I purchased 13 months ago, I could live with them. The failure of the RF receiver one month out of warranty is unacceptable therefore I do not recommend this brand unless you don't mind throwing away money!
