“Terrible Customer Service”

Bought an LG Smart tv just over 2 years ago- picture went- called LG, got 3 different answers and offers ( that were rescinded). Had to pay over $300 to fix it Can't believe we paid as much as we did for a tv that didn't even last 2 and a half years. The people at customer relations could not be understood and they each had a different thing to tell or offer me- in the end they did nothing except apologize over and over. I will NEVER buy LG products and will be a very vocal person for others not to.

“Quality is terrible”

I have a 42inch lg TV after 1.5 years of owning has 8 quarter size white spots on screen I will never buy another lg product period.

“Save Your Money”

Bought a 47" lg LED TV, thinking hey its expenive it must be good, I wish id gone with the no name tv, probably would have got better quality. I have NEVER seen such a bigger piece of junk from the connections to reliability and durability. FLAT OUT TRASH. Ive watched this thing for a total of 5 hrs. I go outof town for mo ths on end came home it was dead, went complained they told me srry ypur 2 weeks past your warranty. Customer service couldnt be worse either, Was told by one guy they would fix it no cost, the next guy said I had to pay, Now theyre making me pay for repairing this junk tv after I just forked out an unbelievable amount to purhase it. Really? Do not buy LG anything. This is BY FAR the worst experience ive had with an electronic ever and ive had some bad ones. Dont believe me ? Do your homework read all over the net, constant bad reviews, peoples tvs dieing soon as warranty expjres, what does LG do ? JUST discontinues a product once it gets to many bad reviews and makes a new model same old trash. They also decided hey I can make money off this lets create a "promotion" where ppl can pay us more mon ey to fix these junk tvs because the 700$ we got profit from 1 sale reallly wasnt enough for us. Please donot waste your money on anything LG ypur better off going to vegas and putting 1000$ on black.

“LG 43inch TV”

A Shadow has appeared on the screen after 9 months. I have spoken to several different people and sent pictures of the fault, they can't make a decision call me back then go through it again then call me back days later when I am at work. When I call back I go through the process again and wait days for a return call they say I need an engineer but I work away through the week. Eventually I will take the TV back to the shop. Not good for the money.

“Abysmal Service, Cheap Quality”

I felt the need to express my anger with this abysmal manufacturer. I purchased a 42" 3D TV just over a year ago and low and behold 3 weeks out of the warranty and the TV goes all dark. After registering on their website and attaching the proof of purchase I requested a repair. As far as I`m concerned the Tv should last longer than 55 weeks. After several phone calls to them because they chose not to reply I finnaly get through and have to go through some tests with the final one having to unplug the TV for an hour. In this case I had to call back to confirm I had performed the test. Surprise, Surprise they are no agents available to take my call. After several days I finnaly get through and I`m told an agent will call me. Four days later I get the call and I am asked to email a proof of purchase and told they will repair the tv. I tell them I ahve already emailed the proof. Nevertheless I am given a different email address to send it to. I send it and guess what the email is not recognised. Now I will have to go through the process again. Will I buy LG again..Never..French Company, Parts made in China, and assembled in Mexico. Cheap Rubbish

“LG TV WARRANTY SERVICE ”

Here is extract of a customer report appearing in a social media site in India: I purchased LG LED TV model 32LN5150 on 28.02.2014. Just after 1 year in July 2015, display of the TV failed. Complete panel of TV has been replaced at a cost of Rs. 13,000/-. Now again after a period of about the same, display again failed in December 2016. This time it was diagnosed that the back-lit lights have failed and again I have to incur huge costs. As there are repeated frequent failures at regular interval, it is obvious that there is a problem with the particular model. Requested LG via their web site to look at this particular issue and arrange for replacement of this TV. Except for the computerised response, there is no reply. On contacting through phone, LG claimed there is no repeated failure and advised me to buy AMC for about Rs. 3000 p.a. to take care of such frequent failures. How to make such companies accountable? What is the company policy about providing warranty service to LG TV owners? cc: Consumer Affairs Department, Government of India

“Awesome quality”

I have been using two different LG TV sets since the year 2000. There were some falts with the first set but it was quickly resolved by LG technical team. The 2nd set is a 3D set and I bought it last year. It had no issues so far. The picture qualiy and sound quality has been dramatically improved and the contralling is much easier compairing to the last set. I am really satisfied with everything they have added and improved and I have also observed that it's quality is as great as any other brand.

“15 months old and tv needs repair”

we bought a lg 47" smart tv in dec 15 , now it has developed a fault were the tv turns itself of and then on again and the sound goes off as well . LG say its out of warranty and i will have to pay to fix it. i will never buy another lg product again , i had a samsung plasma tv and it lasted 10 years with no probs . So people avoid LG , they are RUBBISH and their customer service matches their product . AVOID AVOID AVOID

I can't believe that what you are saying is true. Usually LG's worrent covers more period than 15 months. In my experience, any TV servives more than three months without any repair remain so at least up to 5 years. Besides LG has a very good after sales service.

Have spent a considerable sum on a Smart TV that has no chance of getting ITV Player - according to LG and ITV. Do not buy any LG TV if you want a Smart TV!!!!!

“Where's my tv”

TVs broken poor collection TV went missing for 6 days lg not sure where tv was no repair updates poor staff communication never the same staff 33 days and counting still positive outcome.WHERE IS MY TV LG DO NOT CARE do not buy an lg product as the customer services is apauling

LG 3D TV 18 MONTHS OLD LED SCREEN HAS BECOME FAULTY PUT INTO LG ACCREDITED REPAIR SPECIALIST WHO TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD COST AROUND 90% OF THE COST OF TV TO REPAIR SO HE SAID I SHOULD CONTACT LG AS THIS HAS TO BE A MANUFACTURING FAULT WHO TOLD ME THAT THESE THINGS HAPPEN IN MASS PRODUCTION ELECTRONICS IT COULD LAST 1 MONTH IT COULD LAST 10 YEARS JUST YOUR LUCK WHEN I ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THE COULD DO IE PAY FOR REPAIR WAS TOLD THAT IF I WENT AHEAD WITH REPAIR AT MY EXPENCE AND SENT THEM RECEIPT AND A NOTE FROM THE REPAIR PEOPLE IT WOULD BE LOOKED AT BY THEM TO SEE IF I WOULD BE ENTITLED TO A PALTRY 30% OF THE COST AS I COULD NOW BUY A NEW TV FOR THE PRICE OF THE REPAIR THEY AS GOOD HAVE AS GOOD AS TOLD ME TO BIN THE TV SO I WOULD SUGGEST THAT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TV BUY ANYTHING EXCEPT LG AS IT MAY ONLY LAST A FEW MONTHS AND THEN BE FIT FOR THE BIN I WOULD RECOMEND THAT EVERYBODY STAYS CLEAR OF LG ELECTRONICS?

“Please just dont.....”

I bought a 48" lg smart tv and due to having a house built didn't even unwrap it for 6 months..Just after its warrenty ran out the control board went..lg sympathetic to my just out of warrenty tv pushed the boat out and offered me the part....for more than the telly cost...I bought one myself for £30 from the internet...3 months later the signals board went and again I bought one for £50..now the screens gone and its scrap...All under 2 years old...They don't want to help and certainly don't want you to repair them...I think if your looking for a new tv follow the advice from the tv repair shop and I quote"please don't buy another lg...They use the cheapest parts of just about any tv that comes in this shop,how any of them get past 2 years is beyond me"...So listen to the experts is my advice..

Recently I have replaced my old TV set with a latest Smart TV set from LG. The old one is also a LG TV set and it is also working fine. The only reason for replacing is that I wanted a smart TV set. The new TV set is awesome too. Cristal clear pictures and awesome sound quality. It also has all the features I wanted and expected. The price is affordable too.
